I remember that signature being discussed way back -- I dunno, but I do like that signature =P

Same talent spec (but skip EG and GbtL), no glyphs, no buffs, naked with a Dalaran Sword. If you need a shield to use ShoR (tooltip doesn't say so, but it may still need one), grab any white vendor shield (i.e. no stats but armor).

Gather data for each damaging ability we have on a heroic dummy, sample sizes of 50-100 would be good. Try to find a secluded dummy somewhere that doesn't have %damage taken debuffs on it.

Re-re-re-requesting this data. I just overhauled the priority queue code today, so as soon as I have updated ability damage values, I can start doing simulations.

I'll try later today on the PTR -- if I can find one that is not being attacked =/

Unlrelated, but...

You're an Etrian Oddysey player, aren't you? Or at least an art thief from that game.

A little of both :P

Well, damn. I thought we had this covered.

Should be able to do in about six hours.

O yea I'm having trouble with WoL and member settings so here is my data http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/bvys4n17f4x1ul91/

here is my talent build http://cata.wowhead.com/talent#sZGMhfRddRMuc:ksoqR

And I reforged all my gear for Mastery. So I had 55% Block with Holy Shield and 21% dodge and 18% parry.

WoL is annoying in that you have to update the settings in the client when you upload the log under the first menu in the menu bar - the website and the client settings are totally different from each other and don't interact.

Are you sure that you were the only one hitting the dummy during this parse? Because the numbers it gives me are a bit nuts:

Code: Select all
       Model Parse   Diff  %err
ShoR     689   601    -88   -13
CS       170   198     28    16
JoT      299   284    -15    -5
AS      3964  3102   -862   -22
HW      2354  1166  -1188   -50
HoW     1288     0  -1288  -100
Exor    1155     0  -1155  -100
SoT       20    20      0     0
SoR       15     0    -15  -100
SoJ        7     0     -7  -100
Cens     430   430      0     0
Cons    1286  1300     14     1
HotR      20    26      6    28
HaNova   717   795     78    11
Melee     66    71      5     7

If I believe your parse, they nerfed AS and ShoR, but buffed CS and HotR. HammerNova is likely off because they said they added AP scaling, and I need to get a different data set for that.

Also, could you post the AP and SP you had in this set-up? I've been using that as a double-check that the model is correct. It's also obvious that your Holy Wrath was hitting two dummies (hence 50% error).

Hopefully Arcand's data set sheds some light on what's going on here.

Here's my WoL for the PTR, naked except dalaran sword, vendor shield with just armor, all talents spent in just prot tree, no glyphs, no buffs (except for seals). Character name is Braveheart.

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/k6vk ... etails/30/

When I get a chance I'll create another account on WoL and add the guild you created so I can upload it there to make it easier on you.

As long as you link it, I don't really care what guild it's associated with. I just made the maintankadin "guild" for people who didn't have to have access to their own guild's WoL account or didn't want to clutter theirs up.

Redleg's data:

Code: Select all
       Model Parse   Diff  %err
ShoR     689   662    -27    -4
CS       170   175      5     3
JoT      299   291     -8    -3
AS      3964  3169   -795   -20
HW      2354  2351     -3    -0
HoW     1288     0  -1288  -100
Exor    1155     0  -1155  -100
SoT       20    21      1     7
SoR       15    16      1     7
SoJ        7     7     -0    -1
Cens     430   460     30     7
Cons    1286  1337     51     4
HotR      20    21      1     4
HaNova   717   799     82    11
Melee     66    69      3     5

Again, do you have your naked AP and SP for me? I'm assuming this was a human char.

HaNova damage is definitely up, again probably due to ap scaling. AS definitely seems low though, and Censure and Consecrate both seem a little high even though they were perfect in Towellie's parse. Everything else seems pretty reasonable though.
