Aspiring tank, is there a math macro for hit/expertise?
I already have a macro for determining avoidance which i got awhile ago, and was just thinking if there was one to determine chance of being parried, dodged, or missing attacks/spells.
Looked through and didnt find it but then again I always been a bad looker, so I thought I'd ask.

But... it's written on your character sheet.

They dont stack so theres no need to macro them together.
265 hit rating and your weapon will always come in contact with a raid boss that doesnt have some sorta evasion like mechanic.
26 Expertise and they wont be able to parry your attack IF IT HITS
52 Expertise and they wont be able to dodge your attack IF IT HITS

The caps are actually:
Theck wrote:Hit:
It takes 32.79 hit rating to achieve 1% bonus melee hit.
By stacking 263 hit rating, we gain 8.02% melee hit and remove miss from the attack table.
Expertise:
It takes 8.197 expertise rating for one expertise skill, which reduces dodges and parries by 0.25%. This conveniently works out to 32.79 expertise rating for 1% dodge and parry suppression (4 expertise skill).
"soft-cap": 26 expertise skill (214 rating) removes dodges from the table
"hard-cap": 56 expertise skill (460 rating) removes parries from the table
Note that you can get up to 16 expertise from talents and glyphs and 1% hit from a Draenei, which reduces the amount of rating required to reach the caps.
In addition, I'm not sure what you mean by "IF IT HITS." Parry/Dodge are not determined on a separate roll from Hit/Miss. It may not seem like an important distinction, but it is. The statistics work out differently in the two cases.

No, read the second post in http://maintankadin.failsafedesign.com/ ... =viewtopic
2 roll system only applies to whether or not a special that lands crits or not. Whether or not abilities hit/miss/dodge/parry is a single roll, and for white attacks crit is also part of the one roll system.

Pardon me, im not feeling well. And my mains a hunter, hit cap is all im used to. I wonder if the OP is thinking about at what point does it become less effective per point than say STR.

Also got it backwards tbh. Dodge is the soft cap, parry the hard cap.
