assuming all raid (de)buffs
SP_322/SP_320=(floor(floor(floor(STR+230*1.15)*1.1)*0.6)+280)/(floor(floor(floor(STA+266*1.08*1.06)*1.1)*0.3)+280)

note : STR and STA are your paladin's strength and stamina as they show on your armory profile, i.e. completely unbuffed

example of number-crunching for Theck (/evil laughter) :
STR=960, STA=2821
only BoSanc - SP_322/SP_320=576/930=0.62
all raid (de)buffs - SP_322/SP_320=1087/1311=0.83
Theck loses ~38% of his SP in the worst case scenario, and only ~17% in an ideal raid environment

conclusion : the proposed implementation of TbtL in 3.2.2 is particularly unforgiving, as the previous posters have already pointed out, whenever the raid environment deviates from the ideal setup

Because everyone tanks all the time in Frost resist?
:(

Try with a more normal set, see if your numbers change at all.

You may have not realized it but theck's in 3 pieces of frost resist gear, aka heav stamina, no str.

One or the other, would be better, see how we go then perform another nerf if necessary. It seems that blizz have noticed we are a bit op so decided to grab the chainsaw and cut us down 10 notches.

While i understand they don't want us to be "the threat tank" Its not like we are op in any other niche. And as for ot's pulling off the mt... why nerf us for noobs? Right click RF, then reapply when needed (in order to maintain dps on the target) or just white hit...

I have few issues with the RF nerf (still think our threat will be ok... /hope) just the double hit. Not to QQ but i i like being op once in a while especially when its not something game breaking like having more threat than another tanks.

It's not like i get invited to raid for my threat, so i'm not so worried, as long as we don't drop below the other tanks. But our druid still has ALOT more hp and our dk still has more cooldowns. I'd like to be reinbersed for not having the best threat. We don't have a war tank atm so can't comment on them and i'd like to keep it that way, me and dk get all the plate :)

You'll still have the best threat. Also your EH still likely beats the druid.

Thats becoming more and more a tank libram every day. Time to start weaving it in and out with the dodge one ftw.

It's not. With the ICD's and lost GCDs you're just doing damage to yourself for both threat and survival.

Goodmorning folks, so all you are saying is that 100-120 SP loss plus the 10% RF nerf, that equals about 10% TPS loss all together isn't a lot? Sure a nerf is always nerf but it makes ppl and me included feeling a bit anxious about it.
When in doubt, round 'em up and consecrate!!

Assuming equal gearing, the Druid is still going to beat the Paladin in terms of physical EH. Magical, sure we'll be ahead.

I don't know why people are throwing this around. Fully raid buffed, I would lose 18 spell power and then I'm assuming non-improved Strength of Earth totem since we don't always have that. If we do have it, I will gain spell power.

Unbuffed, I still only lose 50 spell power.

It's been shown somewhere around here that the RF nerf is a nerf for less than 5% threat. And you're not honestly going to tell me that 10% of your spellpower is another 5% is it? (if it even is 10%)
If it is weak, kill it before it gets stronger. If it is strong, weaken it.

Yeah, the last thing I tanked before logging for vacation was Hodir, and I forgot to switch back to my regular set.

I like to play a game with fellow tanks during archavon. I let them start, and I try to take over. I can overtake warriors while giving them 10% of my threat. (vigilance)

As much as I hate any nerf (especially when I have this one hunter always riding my sack) I don't think there should be too much to be concerned about.

Tell that damn hunter to do his job and MD on cooldown? :P
