Is this a serious dps/tps nerf or what?

OK, so I'm solo'ing normal Shattered Halls for XP. I actually get XP faster this way than in northrend, if I don't die.

But, what used to be easy pre-3.0.3 now seems fairly difficult. I had to put together a BV/BRating/Threat set.

Overall I'm running 75% miss+dodge+parry+block. 668 SBV.
I'm using the Blade of Savagery, 395 Str, 1088 AP, and 373 Spelldam.

My 5-stack of SoV hits for 164 holy damage, and my SoR hits for 59 holy damage.

I mean seriously??
Reckoning is always up, so in order to burn down scatter shotters and casters, I get a 5stack of Vengeance up and switch over to Righteousness. But seriously, without constant reckoning, this would absolutely horrendous tps.

Yes SOV & JOV have been downgraded... the DPS loss should obviously be more negligable than the TPS loss.

It's not a big DPS downgrade from 3.02 but if you were on beta then seals (except SOB) have seen a systematic downgrade since the first build...

It's a recurring theme atm but it looks like we'll just have to deal with it for the time being.

Trouble is blizzard did the following:

1) lets make instant-attacks proc seals!

2) oops now ret does too much burst damage

3) lets nerf seals so the do the same damage they used to do when you didn't have 2 instant-attacks

4)better nerf vengence just so prot don't feel left out

5) Holy and Prot now do much less seal/judgement damage. Oh well less people complaining about that than about ret being OP.

This point of view doesn't take into account that you now can spam consecration endlessly on a pack of mob with a seal doing damage and having a 3 mob attack on a 6 seconds cooldown.

Still better than in BC, not as good as it has been with 3.0.2

If he's speaking prot then he is correct. They new BoS is unlimited mana with a large enough pack of mobs. There's no way to do that was ret currently.

We're on maintankadin, so I assumed the OP was prot.

BTW, I can't think of a ret using BV :)
