prince malcazar
anyone able to offer an advice on taking down prince malcazar. The guild has killed him a couple of times but the random fire aoeing netherguards are proving to be just too annoying in there placement somedays.
does anyone have any little tips or tricks they try to employ to stop themselves being pinned in and wiped out ?
any patterens to how they land or any ways to make the most of the space you have..

Supposedly there is a safe spot, but really you just gotta be ready to move.
The fight sucks.

The safe spot is just to the right of the door, on the grey-colored floor area there near the broken column. This stops an infernal from landing on ranged dps and healers, but the possibility remains that an infernal lands on/near the tank or between the boss and the ranged. Normally, we just tank him against the wall on the right so the tank doesn't get knocked back by Shadow Nova and hope for good infernal drops. As a tank, you need to be ready to reposition if necessary.

Generally your best bet is to move before you have to, so you can do it carefully. If you're in a spot where a bad infernal is going to mean frantically dashing across the room or whatever, then get out of there and to someplace safer.
