[Heroic - Old Kingdom] Trash Shadow Blast

So I was doing H OK on my druid tank as my random and during the first couple of trash packs, I noticed my health bar swinging wildly. I'm not an uber geared bear but my 45k health seems sufficient to not really care and just pull mindlessly.

Well, I ended up pulling two groups and it seemed like I got hit twice and went down like a sack of rocks.

I frantically check my gear to see if I'm in the right gear. I am. I check my spec and I'm in my tank spec.

So I start asking the healer to see what's going on. She doesn't know. She's a guildee and never complains about how I tank. I see if she's in the right spec and she is.

We rebuff and I turn on my combat log to track what's going on. I pull a trash set (the one group that is before the first boss but it's a group that you don't have to pull) to see what's up.

My health bar was on a yo-yo string. We get through it and I start scrolling.

Then I see

So maybe I'm smoking dope but that just seems nuts. OK was never fun and maybe I missed something but is that spell that the Shadowcasters do based a percentage of your health? Because if not, lower geared tanks are going to get one shotted when they try that instance on trash.

If not, it seems like the trash got a buff because I never saw anything in the notes.

Is there anyone else who has experienced this?

Afaik it was like 50 or 75% of your health. It has a 4 or 5 second cast, as paladin you should never let it go off in the first place.

Not sure what the Druid class toolkit to interrupt is but he stated he was tanking on his Bear, not his Pally.

Sorry didn't read the post properly, then feral charge and bash are your friends, or hope your trigger happy retarded dps can set their minds on interrupting before returning to their loldps rotation.

You can also not tank (one of) them and let some dps/healer pull agro on it. 80% of max HP doesn't oneshot anyone

Don't be a bad tank really - Mark the flingers with a Skull and bash the first cast - if they get a second one off your dps suck or you are retarded.
