So I've been running reg HoL for weeks now to get the trinket, still no luck.

I've noticed that EVERY time i throw my shield to pull him, it crits. EVERY time.

Then i realized something. He's sitting on his throne. sitting. do the sit/crit mechanics apply to mobs as well? can anyone confirm this?

Yes /sit mechanics apply to mobs as well. There are quite a few mobs that you'll find sitting, and you'll always crit if you attack from outside aggro range.

Whoa! That is cool, I never thought that would work on NPCs.

Next time I run HoL, we'll have everyone try and time ranged attacks to smack him at the same time and see if we can start the fight with a couple freebie crits.

i always liked the AE room just before the first boss in heroic magister's for this reason... every shield resulted in three fatty crits =D

This explains why avenger's shield seems to triple-crit so often when I pull!

I use HThrow, and it crits nicely on him for ~2K or a little more. Nice front-load threat.
