had that just now, so i ended up soloing a Lava Annihlator on the path from (first exit -> invis pot -> safe spot) and standing there instead. On the map it's just inches north of what modus proposed as the "waiting spot" marked with a white dot. The long pat never came near me and it took 5 minutes longer to kill the add than the pot cooldown was up, but no need to run back.
Hmm. I had never thought of that, but yes, if an Annihilator spawns there, you could solo it for an even safer waiting spot. I usually get stuck with a Firelord.

There is also a spot on the wall you can stand on in the "waiting area" where neither core hound will aggro you. It's almost exactly where the "Safe Spot" dot is in this image from your guide:
There were a couple screenshots of it in the other Garr Solo thread. It's basically right at the corner just north of the red dot. You start near the hallway that leads toward Geddon/Shazzrah and slowly walk along the wall until that corner. It's tricky to find the exact spot but as long as there's no core hounds there at that exact moment, you can afford to fall off of the wall a few times while you're finding it.

I've seen that spot before, but perhaps I just thought I'd aggro that annoying one and was too "chicken" to find out. Garr reset today, so I suppose I'll find out after work.

I couldn't get this to work. Tonight there was an Annihilator spawned directly next to it, though, so soloing it would easily clear out a spot. Usually for me, though, it's a Firelord.
Perhaps I'm not in the exact same spot. I ran up along the wall, as close to the trash as I could without risking pulling, but still managed to pull that Core Hound. Could you post a screenshot, possibly?

a small correction:
I assume that "not" is supposed to be a "now" in your section about garr popping his adds. Kinda changes the meaning of the sentence!
Also, 2.4.3 looks to be putting invis pots on the normal potion cooldown, so the long wait for non-engineers will be shorter.
If more than one explosion hits you, it's not time to pop your healing trinkets, healthstones, or healing potions.

Invisibility Potions: These potions now are on the same cooldown as other combat consumable potions (such as mana potions.)

In the best interpretation of that, yes. In how I interpreted it, it means that it'll still be 10 minutes, just hoggin up your potion CD instead of your healthstone CD.

Video Update: The video has been shot and edited (minus the audio), and I am now figuring out all the different formats it has to be in for Youtube, Vimeo, WCM, etc. ATM I am creating the full (3.60GB) AVI file, so I can split and format it into the different formats. Expect it to be available (hopefully) late tonight or tomorrow.
It will be directing people with questions to this thread.

Well, it ends up that sometime between when I shot the video and finally got it edited and uploaded, someone else did a How To: Solo Garr video. I think mine is better, so it's not bothering me.
His is from a warrior PoV, and is available here:

Screenshot? How about a video?

You need to climb up the ramp, and go as far left as possible. Go right next to where the ledge ends in that dropoff. If you're even 2 feet short of that point, the dog can/will aggro on you.

Hmm. I'll try it out again, then, but I feel like if I move any closer to the Firelord, I'll aggro him, but if I don't get any closer, I'll aggro the hound.
Will try it out for sure after the reset, though.

If you fall off the edge while the mob at the end is at its farthest point away, you can occasionally get back around and up the wall without it aggroing. I would not suggest intentionally trying it though. Don't ask how I know.

Im gonna try with this spec next time, to see how much faster I can kill Garr, I'd expect quite a big difference if I can be arsed to spam crusader strike for an hour or two
