[10N] Protectors of the Endless
We kill the elite version in 4 wipes. I put together a quick video outlining the things we screwed up on in the first 3 wipes in the hopes you can avoid them. Here's my tips/tricks vid. http://youtu.be/EmRu4ePiMrM
We one tanked it no problem.
We 3 healed although it looks like 2 healing would be just as easy.
You do need an Empress kill from HoF to enter the raid.
The mechanics are very easy.
If you can kill Elegon, you can kill 2 of these while eating a sandwich.
Be johnny on the spot in moving and interrupts and you win.

Quite easy fight compared to the complex later bosses in HoF. The berserk timer will keep you honest, but doesn't require any special effort beyond using the Corrupted Waters buff properly.
1 tank, 3 heal
- Move boss out of cleansing waters, interrupt as needed to get him to move
- Healers dispel lightning prison, spread 8yd when Regail is alive
- Kill Kaolan, move him out of water
- Kill Regail, also dodge lightning circles and stand on the center disc for buffs
- Stack on Asani and have everyone stand in cleansing waters when he moves out

Anyone tried killing Kaolan last for the elite loots?

Yes, it's extremely trivial. We one-shot it. I highly recommend it.

Supposedly bugged as well ... if you kill Kaolan last you can get heroic mode loot from bonus rolls.
We killed them with the easiest three just to move on ASAP ... almost wish we'd tried for the elite loot after seeing how ungodly easy it is.

yeah, its a joke. we 2 shot it reading abilities on the first pull. when it's only the melee dude alive, just kite him along the wall, so the gigantic void zones he cast are next to the wall and only half of it covers the space you use. otherwise we were wondering if something else was gonna happen, but wasn't the case.
we had at least one guy win something on the extra roll and he got the normal itemlvl (503 or something for doing him last?), definitely not heroic loot either way, so that's fixed.

You dont have to move the bosses at all tbh.
when the cleansing water bursts, it applies the heal, but its magical and it doesnt tick untill after a few sec, so you shouldnt have to move him at all, just have some single target dispeller having Asani on focus to get ready for the Cleansing water cast, then dispell the buff from the boss.
That way melee and tank will have the buff every time.

Nice tip for free healing.
My guild is going to be trying it on elite tonight, only going to have very limited time before we'll need to kill it the easy way. So any other tricks that ppl could pass on would be great.

Somewhat off-topic question: do you need to be 6/6 in HoF to start terrace, or can you just walk right in?
You can have my gold for free, The mobs of elywnn forest are holding on to it.

Spell stealing the Cleansing water buff from the boss worked like a charm
Had 2 wipes to berserk from melee been asleep and not running before the Expel Corruption cast, killed it on the 3rd pull really not very hard. We 2 tanked 3 healed, if you you have the dps for HoF and you keep everyone alive you shouldn't have any problems.

Re: [10N] Protectors of the Endless
Did the elite version tonight, nice boost to morale after a couple of sub par weeks in HoF. Thanks to all the suggestions here!
Started with three heals two tanks. First pull we wiped to Kaolan's Expel Corruption due to a weak understanding of the mechanic. Second pull we hit berserk with ~20% left on Kaolan. Decided to go to two healers and got it on our third pull with about thirty seconds to spare on enrage, although with a better off spec dps we would have been a minute or so ahead(our resto droods boomkin dps isn't the best but we wanted to avoid additional melee). We only had one melee (warrior) who would get rocked anytime he wasn't well ahead of the center of the Expel Corruption, I certainly don't recommend melee on this fight because they are either getting destroyed by the corruption or they are losing a lot of up time getting out in front of it.
Two healing was not an issue at all as long as you are getting a fair amount of interrupts on Asani and Regail in the first two phases and your ranged/healers are staying max distance from the Expel Corruptions in the final phase.
Definitely a walk in the park, even in the elite order, compared to pretty much all of the encounters in HoF. Definitely support the recommendation of doing elite. Basically if you have the throughput for HoF this fight is a joke.

Seen most do it with 2 tanks. How much harder/riskier is it with just 1 tank? Anything in particular that needs to be careful of if going in with just 1 tank?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I wouldn't suggest it unless you plan on killing Kaolan first.
Because of the Defiled Ground that Kaolan drops after one of the other protectors dies he needs to be kited. This could cause issues with threat, interupts or sporadic movement of either Regail or Asani.
If you do plan on killing Kaolan first, it seems like solo tanking might be a good idea.

Re: [10N] Protectors of the Endless
I solo tanked on Elite mode. The only issue you can run into is the stacking 2 minute debuff hitting too hard. If your DPS is solid, and you aren't taking more than 1 tick each time you should be fine. Additionally, I would wait on Heroism until the first guy is dead. You don't start getting the debuff until then.
