MoP reputation guide

In my effort to understand the reputations and their impact for gear and professions, I started putting together this list. For gear, I'm only listing 489 ilvl gear, and only listing patterns that will be useful over the long haul (JC mounts, leg enchants, buckles). Some stuff is still missing (tailoring enchants) and I'm sure I missed a few odds and ends, so I'll update the main post if ya'll help fill in the details. Note: for the gear I only wanted to list gear that will be "top level" for non-raiders, or beginning raiders, the ilvl 489 is actually better than LFR gear (476-483) and just below normal raid gear (489-496).

Hmm... I don't see it in their database, I'll have to dig back through their news posts..

I'm also wondering about the two metal transmute patterns. Don't think those are on the trainer yet...

Nice summary. If this doesn't change then MoP's rep grinding will be much more relaxed with only vanity items requiring Exalted. For prot Paladins in particular we needed to get all 6 reps to exalted in Cata, now we'll only need 4 reps at Revered to have everything we need in terms of fail safe gear. Also helps that shoulder inscriptions are no longer tied to reputations and head enchants have been removed.

Could be, all the high end stuff appears to be either discoveries or rep.

JC rare patterns - discovery
Alchem rare gem transmutes - discovery
Engineering Cogwheels - discovery

Since Alchem already has some discovery recipies, I'm afraid the metal transmutes might be rep.

True from a Goblin standpoint it's slightly more of a pita, but from a raiding standpoint it seems far better.

Yep, for main toons it is better. Goblins are going to have to do a lot more rep grinding, or form coalitions or something...

I was going to level a LW to make the leg enchants, not now, no way do I want to level that toon anytime early on.
