Ooh, what do you think of Wild Pyromancer for a Questing Adventurer deck? It'd come out neutral on health but gain attack while AoEing all other minions.

Deff need the Auctioneer then, and possibly play a variation of Mage stalling.

EDIT-ting because I hate doubles:

Still had a decent night yesterday (24 -> 17). while my deck works right against most opponents, it currently lacks something to make me go through late game heavy hitters.

Here's the current setup:

Fearie Dragon * 2
Acidic Swamp Ooze * 2
Argent Protector * 2
Equality * 2

Shattered Sun Cleric * 2
Aldor Peacekeeper * 2
Sword of Justice * 2

Spellbreaker * 2
Defender of Argus * 2
Dark Iron Dwarf * 2
Blessing of Kings * 1
Consecration * 2
Truesilver Champion * 2

Argent Commander * 2
Avenging Wrath * 1

Tirion Fordring * 1
Lay on Hands * 1

What I'm currently considering throwing out:
SSC is still nice, but I really need more oomph later on.
Spellbreaker is nice at times (bu-bye Sylvanas!) but it's really situational and may be worth only rolling one, or none at all
Consec. Current meta doesn't see more than 3 minions on the table. It can help to reset a bad starting board, but it's insanely rare that I can't drop anything worthwhile on turn 2 -> 4
Tirion might fly out for another fattie, depending.

What might make its way in:
Knife Juggler might advantageously replace the SSC, as they're roughly similar early on, but KJ remains useful later on when you can dump him + a minion + HP and still not lose much in case of a sweeper.
Guardian of Kings: I've heard it's a highly valued card nowadays because it annoys Mage as all hell.
I'm starting to think Hammer of Wrath is all around better than Consec for the same price.
If I can lay my paws on it, Sylvanas and/or a couple of Giants could be nice...
When that day comes, seek all the light and wonder of this world, and fight.

Yeah, healing is very annoying for a Mage.

Surprised you run no 1-cost minions. They can get you off to a very good start when it comes to your opponents' 2-drops.

Do you really need double Equality?

Me, I'm probably going to try a Frost Giants deck tonight. I have an arena run lined up (good Druid deck), and only need about 60 dust to craft the Giants I need. Will run Pyro instead of Alexstrasza.

Never been a big fan of 1-drops.

Maybe Noble Sacrifice, which can still throw quite a spanner.
My big problem is that Equality is my ONE real way to efficiently deal with fatties for now. Especially in a meta that favor Golems/Legendaries, I would have killed to draw my second Equality in quite a few of my losses.

Big minions can be annoying, but I've managed to cope without Polymorph.

Trying to think of Paladins' options for clearing bigger minions. Blessing of Might, Blessing of Kings, Divine Shield, Hammer of Wrath; Peacekeeper can make them less of a threat before you clear them... That's just off the top of my head, not being all that familiar with the class right now.

That's pretty much it. Humility is Aldor without the minion. Truesilver is also a so-so plan.
I think my own big trouble is the near-absence of big guns on my side, that's why my big priority is those Guardian of Kings, and possibly doubling that BoK.

Hey! I played HS for fun once.

It was awful.

P.S. Actually because the difference in drawn hands made the game a relative no-brainer.

Damit. I had thought of it but didn't write it down. BGH is also a strong value in the current meta.

You're playing Mage with non-spell minions. QED.

Pretty strong arena deck, actually. But 4/4/4/4/4 is hard to recover from. :P

Went down 2 ranks with all that shit and can't understand what went wrong...

Here's the setup:

Fearie Dragon * 2
Acidic Swamp Ooze * 2
Argent Protector * 2
Equality * 2

Shattered Sun Cleric * 2
Aldor Peacekeeper * 2
Sword of Justice * 1
Earthen Ring Farseer * 2

Defender of Argus * 2
Blessing of Kings * 2
Consecration * 2
Truesilver Champion * 2

Argent Commander * 2
Guardian of Kings * 2

Tirion Fordring * 1
Lay on Hands * 2

well, my first guess would be that you didn't meet enough or there just in general aren't enough freezing mages around? most of these self healing cards are not that great in other matchups.

Yeah, I think I saw two tops. I'll probably wait a little more before swapping them back in and push back to my original deck.

EU login servers are finally working again. Decided to try working on my Shaman some instead of the Mage.

And hey, the three quests I have after this involuntary 2-day break are "2 Shaman/Hunter victories", "deal 100 damage to heroes", and "play X 2-mana minions", so easy money.

Playing my Shaman against a Hunter who drops almsot no minions, does very little. I'm sitting with Doomhammer and not doing much because of overloads and clearing the minions he does play. But then I drop a Fire Elemental and summon a taunt totem. He's on 24 health. I look at my hand, see Flametongue Totem and Windfury, and think "if only I topdecked a Rockbiter".

Then the Hunter played the Murloc that gives both players two cards. I drew Rockbiter and Abusive Sergeant. "Sorry", drop Flametongue, kill his 3/3 taunt with totem and Doomhammer, then Windfury, Rockbiter, Abusive Sergeant, kill.

Frost Nova, Cone of Cold and Blizzard will have a mana cost increase of 1 in the next patch.

Somehow I cba to make a constructed deck so I am having some fun in arena's. Ended one last night in a 5-3 as a warlock, wich made me feel quite good ^^ Rolled a new deck and got to 5-0 now with a hunter, but that should have been a 3-2...

My luck victory's so far:
- Opponent has 2 health left, 4 mobs on the board all 4/4ish stuff. Enough to kill me. I pull explosive trap
- Opponent has 6 health left, 4 mobs on the board. One 6/2 and other 4/4 stuff. I pull misdirection. "Meh, lets try it". Attacks with the 6 health first and he proceerds to hit his hero ^^ I almost felt sad for him...

And in my last arena runs I liked the buzzard / snake trap combo. This time I got no snake traps, but unleash the hounds works quite good aswell against a rogue. Murloc that summons another one + the defias combo guy that summons another one. Buzzard + unleash the hounds = 4 cards and at least 3 of the 4 dead (I pulled a hunters mark aswell so I could even clear his whole board). Maybe I should try a hunters deck with buzzards, snake traps and unleash the hounds. That could work, right? Or does anyone else have some inspiration for a nice constructed deck?

I'm guessing that could work as your card engine. Next to that, you should probably roll Jugglers, Highmanes, and (to a lesser extent) Imp Masters to exploit minion summon and have even MORE summons.
For the rest I'm not really sure - Timber Wolves and Hyenas are no-brainers. and that makes about 16 cards before inserting classics and your own spin on it.

Sounds like you'd have a lot of small minions there. You might want things like Snipe and Deadly Shot to deal with bigger things from your opponent.

Tips on my Shaman deck? I started playing and making tweaks last night, and got it into this state (from memory, think it's right):

Lightning Bolt x2
Rockbiter Weapon x2
Worgen Infiltrator x1
Knife Juggler x2
Faerie Dragon x1
Acidic Swamp Ooze x1
Bloodmage Thalnos x1
Stormforged Waraxe x1
Shattered Sun Cleric x2
Feral Spirit x2
Lava Burst x2
Hex x2
Lightning Storm x1
Dark Iron Dwarf x2
Defender of Argus x1
Cult Master x1
Bloodlust x1
Doomhammer x1
Argent Commander x1
Fire Elemental x2
Hogger x1

I got Hogger in a pack last night and it seemed appropriate with the way this deck had been playing. It seems a little easy to remove but it helps keep board control, and most wins on this deck have been from Bloodlust with 3-4 minions on the board.

Things I'm reconsidering:
- Cult Master doesn't seem to get much use out of its draw. Would Mana Tide Totem work here?
- I only have one 1-mana drop, but can't work out how to fit another.
- I'm thinking about replacing the Shattered Sun Clerics and maybe the Dark Iron Dwarves, but not Sure what with.
- I might have too many spells/weapons and not enough minions, but also might not have enough AoE.
- Not sure I need Thalnos in there?

What do you think?

I just went down a rank. The Paladin Pyromancer/Equality combo is brutal. 3 mana total board clear!
