Re: Hearthstone
So I encountered a Hunter exploit today. Seems it's not an unknown one, other reports around. Basically, the Hunter uses Flare right as the turn timer expires, and it freezes up their opponent's game.

Re: Hearthstone
rewards for a 9-1 run, are you §$"&"§$& kidding me? really time to retire at 8 wins, this is just silly:

Re: Hearthstone
Yeah, the guaranteed Golden Card at 9 really doesn't cut it honestly. I'd rather have a higher chance at a big dust bag...

Re: Hearthstone
That's what the last reward is? Ugh. At least it's some dust, but if it's any random golden card I guess it's quite often a common that only DEs to 40?

Re: Hearthstone
its either a pack or a gold card. think its higher chance for a gold card, at least that's what it feels like to me. that was actually my third divine favor .... frowns. i've had 9 wins with 220+ gold and 2 packs, that's pretty awesome. but the above is just disappointing.
at 8 wins you don't get the gold card/pack slot. so it'1 pack and 4 gold/dust bags. with a much higher chance for gold, usually it's at least 3 gold bags.

Re: Hearthstone
I had some weird OTK Hunter variation today. He didn't collect as many beasts, and I kind of guess he was expecting to use his Snake Trap minions for the Unleash rush. When I popped his trap to see what it was, I decided to immediately clear the three snakes with Blizzard. Next turn, he dropped his three cards and Unleashed the Hounds, which did nowhere near enough damage to kill me.

Re: Hearthstone
well, doing more then 20 is rare. you certainly need some other dmg first. I'm playing the four stealth mobs (panthers + tigers) along with 2 huntmaster and the usual removal suite. it's pretty important to put some pressure out there and then finish off with the combo.

Anyone interested in some friendly matches? I seem to have hit another wall with the matchmaking system, stuck at 1-star Master.

Re: Hearthstone
I just got a Golden Legendary Illidan. Do I DE and craft another legendary, or keep?
Edit: I probably will DE. I play almost exclusively Mage - should I make Thalnos, or Antonidas?

I'd say either anto or ysera - green girl is a massive gamebreaker as well.

Re: Hearthstone
Gut freaking DAMMIT! Why did I manage to turn a 0-2 disaster into an 8-2 that gave ANOTHER 225 GOLD!!
I guess I should be happy, but I can't seem to drop below 200G for more than a day >_>

Re: Hearthstone
Why do you want to be below that?
Entirely unrelated: I just had a run of wins that took me from 1-star to 3-star Master without a single loss.

Re: Hearthstone
I always feel that I have "games left". I could start a new Arena again and again and empty my pockets to fill my deck a bit, but I can't really play all that much...

Ha. I regularly have no gold, and that does nothing to stop me playing over and over and over.

Re: Hearthstone
Turned a 0 - 2 arena into a 4 - 3 but balls, that third match I played was close.. I was a mage vs a paladin and I ended up with 1 hp and 2 mobs on the field while the paladin had nothing... Except that one that does random damage to things. The RNG gods at my side divided the damage between my mobs and left me to finish him off
And 4-3 is a personal best I think ^^

anyone tried/looked at that webpage? that's a random guy, looks pretty interesting, just used excel to track my arena games so far. although I wonder how the logging program works.

Re: Hearthstone
Follow up on the Legendary question:
I went ahead and crafted Bloodmage Thalnos.
Reasoning:
1) Archmage Antonidas may be powerful, but by the time he can be played on the board, most games are already pretty much over.
2) I was becoming less fond of Azure Drakes.
A 5 mana 4/4 with +1 Spellpower and Draw a Card, it seems good. But: 4/4 for 5 is not good value in and of itself. The card is almost always removed on the following turn, without an opportunity to use the +1 spell damage. So I was often sat with this card in my hand, thinking a) I can play it for card draw but it'll get removed or at best trade, and b) if I play this I won't fit anything else into my turn.
So: I replaced an Azure Drake with Bloodmage Thalnos. Same +1 Spellpower, also draws a card, but only costs 2 mana. Will also be immediately removed, and is very easy to do so - you'd never play this early game as a minion on its own. But it's easier to play, can be played earlier, and gives all the same benefits.
To be honest I'm yet to see it in action, though. I've drawn it once but didn't play it.

Thalnos is excellent, but Azure Drakes are also very good.

Yes, I do agree they're good. I guess they just don't fit so well in my current deck any more. It's been shifting more aggressive and more into early/mid game. I still play 1 Drake.
Playing a Druid deck at the moment, though. Threw one together this morning without looking at lists or anything for a quest, and decided I liked it. Basically a lot of buffs and taunts, along with some big minions from turn 5+.

Mage versus Warrior Arena
I spent FOUR turns at ONE life.
Then won!

Re: Hearthstone
Haha. Nice.
My Druid deck doesn't work. Was doing very well in the morning, but when I got back to it this evening I was losing everything. It starts out strong then loses out in the mid game and never catches back up. Druids seem to have a hard time removing enemy minions, anyone else find that?
