I'm trying to come up with a working barbarian WW build.

What I obtained:
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/b ... Yeh!aYbbbZ

Made me resistant enough to do T4 with friends and tank shit until my friends kill it, but when I'm alone even on T2 mobs just don't die :\
I wonder if I should change something in the build, or just my DPS (100k or so) is still too bad for more than T1/2.

The lightning build I made was able to handle T3 but T4 was pushing it (at least for a comfortable laid back play style). I'll link it up when I get home, in case anyone's interested.

I'd do something like this for a WW build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/b ... geh!aYcYbZ

Toughness for Superstition is also a good change, if you can survive swapping that out for Boon of Bul-Kaithos is suggested.

Earthquake with Chilling Earth is an amazing CC. Champions and Elite packs, provided you didn't leap stun them first, will be CCed for about 6 of the 8 seconds of the Earthquake while trash will be CCed the entire duration. Granted I have a Cold Skills Stone of Jordan that makes it super effective.

I got super lucky last night as we had 4 runs through the Infernal Machine ubers. Managed to craft 3 rings to round out the Str, Int, Dex characters and have a few Str ones to use on my Templer follower.

After a bit of testing and changing, here's what works for me:

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Worl ... o/16160038

Allows me to easily farm T3, and with a bit of effort I can survive elites on T4 (though, DPS still a tad low so takes a bit too much to kill them if I'm alone)

I prefer the defense from Ignore Pain to a damage cooldown. Mostly because often you run into ranged mobs that kite you away, thus Earthquake is useless, and after the nerf WotB feels more or less useless to me.

Chilling Earth is an actual freeze now, not a snare. Enemies in the zone or that enter it will become frozen so you can destroy them. Get some cold skills increasing gear and you can get it up to a 30% damage increase at least. Leap stun allows you to get those kiters, can also use the pull in rune as well.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Flex ... ro/1233895

I switch between Whirlwind and War Cry. The gear is not what it should be, weird. I have bracers that increase Cold Skills by 15%, so against elites/champs my Earthquake ends up doing about 168% damage and my Hammer of the Ancients is almost 200% damage increase.

Did anyone notice how broken the "aoe dmg" from the 4th paragon tab is?

Picked this up again over the weekend, and the loot changes really are as good as everyone is saying. I didn't ever play much aside from my original play through, but on Sunday I went from a lvl 40 wizard who had seen zero useful legendary drops ever to a lvl 50 with two equipped and two others now in the stash, both of which got some decent use before being replaced.

My turn to give this a spin (pun intended)

I started over with the Barb, Torment 2, and I already went from paragon 12 to 25, and got 4 legendaries as I now prepare to get the second sword shard in act I. That's more than I could claim in my Barb's entire life

For all the naysayer, Whirlwind is indeed quite as fun as it was. Not absolutely OP, but strong enough to not feel like a clutz.

Anyway, this looks VERY good. Looking forward to get swamped in Act 3 XD

WW is powerful, and not endless unless you skill it to gain Fury. I didn't like the brainlessness of it before.

My only trouble is dealing with

A) Big-ass Elites that like to run the fuck away because I tend to be swamped in shit on the floor. Seriouslly, Frozen Enchant/Poison Enchant/Orbiter/xx ranged elites/bosses can go DIAF.
B) Bandits that I can hardly bring to 50% before the port out.

I'm running something along those lines, switching between WotB and Threatening Shout+ Demoralize for Event Bosses/Bandits >< Trash/Elites (and force those pesky long rangers to get over here and DIE). But even like that I can't muster the sheer power to down bandits.

Tried the stomp with the rune that makes you pull everything within 24 yd and stun them? I find it very useful.

Got the Wizard to 60 and 13 or so paragon levels, it levels pretty quickly at least at the start. Cash seems to flow pretty nicely too at Torment I and the difficulty itself hasn't been too much of a problem with my current arcane build. Aside from the occasional elite pack, that is.

Does anyone know if the paragon experience per level is a flat value or a curve? I keep meaning to look the experience required before and after gaining a level but haven't managed to do so yet.

I actually like the Shout with taunt more, as it combines dragging the enemies to you (and note that rangers WILL run to melee you), but also a nice -20% damage effect that can stay 100% up.
Besides my problems are more offensive in nature.

The other skill I could skip would be Battle Rage, but is there something more worth it? I don't see myself dropping either the Fury generator or Rend...

This is my Barb build

I have Magefist gloves with 17% Fire Skill increase and bracers with 12% fire skill increase, shoulders with 14% Overpower increase, and a Stone of Jordan with a 25% increase against elites. So against elite packs my Overpower and Furious Charge crit for well north of a three million and hover around the 4 million mark.

Another option is going with a cold build. I ran that with bracers and an amulet with bonus to cold skills before getting the Magefist.

Does anyone know if the paragon experience per level is a flat value or a curve? I keep meaning to look the experience required before and after gaining a level but haven't managed to do so yet.

Pretty sure it is a curve, there was a patch note about how Paragon levels after 500 were made steeper.

Caught a lucky break with a trifecta neck and a new pair of weapons. This loadout is my boss mode, I'm still keeping Threatening Shout for trash.

I still hit a couple problems on Torment II Belial, until I realized I was being too defensive and kept hitting the enrage. Kept the same boss loadout, went all-out and taking more risks, and it went like a charm.

Holy crap that Sun Keeper is nice. I'm assuming the 30% is the max roll on it?

I finished up last night at Paragon 199, goal was Paragon 200 before RoS so I'll make that. I've also gotten 3 pieces of the Immortal King set. I really want semi-permanent Call of the Ancients.

Huh. Just checked, it actually is the max. Fun thing is, I only kept it because of that stat, it felt fairly lackluster otherwise, so I nearly skipped it... Dumb me

Which reminds me I still have a legacy Echoing Fury (0.25 extra attacks, 9%ASp, 1,1k dps) that might actually out-perform the Bonesaber.

Meanwhile, all I'm aiming for is clear Torment 2 before RoS

Quick, late EDIT: Welp, Torment 2 is clear, and I'm seriously considering dropping the rage builder for one of the big-ass CDs (prob the Freeze Earthquake).

Tonight's showtime, ladies!

Managed to snag 4 piece Immortal King set, it is pretty much game breaking.

You still need to dedicate a slot to Call of the Ancients but with the rune that has them generate 3 fury for you when they attack you swim in the stuff. Ended up going back to a Boulder Toss build with Furious Charge - Stamina and Overpower with the rune to generate fury for each person hit. A 202 Fury Boulder Toss crits for about 16 million on elites for me.

Reaper of Souls impressions

- Act 5 story, need to do it when not on a skype call with someone so I actually have audio and can pay attention to it.
- Crusader. Lots of fun. Leveled solely via Adventure Mode with her so far. Fighting style is very unique and not just another melee class.
- Adventure Mode. I dig the bounties system, goal oriented farming is nice. I got trolled with a "Clear the Crypt of the Ancients" bounty though. I'm not sold on Rifts as a thing, sure they ahve good rewards but they feel lacking in something.
- Also both Adventure Mode and Rifts have a much darker color than normal, it bothers me because I like the artwork in D3 and want to see it.

I want to keep progressing through Act 5 on my barb, but since I'm playing him with my wife's wizz, we can barely log an hour a day.

Well, at least my wizzie is blasting through vanilla content, and should probably be at Act 5 somewhere this weekend...

I noticed a loading screen tip saying Barbarians and Monks take 30% less damage than Crusaders, Wizards, WDs and DHs. Haven't read much around this expac, any reason Crusader doesn't get the same benefit as the other melees? It specifically listed Crusader among those who didn't, else I'd be tempted to think it was just an oversight.

EDIT: As far as I can tell from Googling around, the reason they don't get the same reduction is that the class already has so many defensive skills/passives. Haven't been able to find any blue confirmation, but I guess that's plausible.

My computer loads diablo so fast I can't read the tips :( /fwp

I played through Act V last night. Not sure I'm going to bother playing any more. Adventure mode is fun, I've heard? I've heard people raving that RoS "fixes" D3 the way LoD made D2 awesomesauce, but it seems to boil down to Loot 2.0, with greens and browns everywhere (in the one playthrough I found 3 greens and 4 browns).

Is there much more than the gussied up Skinner box? The gameplay doesn't seem much changed from kite-kite-kite-kite-kite-go back and pick up things you killed offscreen. (I play a DH; just found the other classes boring. Haven't tried Crusader yet, to be fair).

I was literally falling asleep while shooting down hallways. I don't take this as being a stunning endorsement, personally.
