Hawken closed beta
... is starting? Not sure when, actually. But apparently you can sign up.
I'd love it if you were to use my referrer link:
http://www.playhawken.com/index.php?ref=F7FEE65E
But you can probably sign up on their site other ways.
What's Hawken, you ask? Multiplayer mecha combat, in the wreckage of a city. It really seems to be tuned for small team multiplayer. The videos are ... great.

Re: Hawken closed beta
Looks like Hawken has a release date. Cool new multiplayer modes (I've watched videos of siege and missile modes so far), new classes, and customizable load outs got me thinking about trying it out.
It'll be interesting watching the tug-of-war between the futuristic FPS fans of F2P Planetside 2, FireFall and Hawken.

I saw Totalbiscuit do a live tournament of Hawken (I THINK It was Hawken anyways) At PAX. Looked pretty good! I think I got a beta code somewhere in my swag bag

Not just to Bump here....
Guys if you haven't tried this game already you really are missing out. It takes only minutes to get familiar with the controls and once you start unlocking mechs the game really takes off. You will surely find a mech that fits your play style and let the killing begin. They just released the newest patch that came with the first true support mech if healing is your thing.
Really something to check out. It is free after all!
