Like i said, reason i dont care is because the character never grew on me all that much, compared to others...

I would be more interested in the character development of havin, lets say, trixie or lyra taking twilights place in the group...

Well, I've seen what "change" happens to her now, suppose it was inevitable even though I tried to be careful, but I've got no idea how/when/where/why etc.

Is those things part of the argument, or is it just the fact that she changes that's stirring up trouble? Because while I do see that it's definitely a huge change, I'm also quite interested to see how it'll affect the story.

A think, to keep the whole shebang as neutral as possible that a couple of the common issues are:

a) First and foremost, it breaks down the relative balance between the Mane 6
b) Along the same line, the implied power and responsabily would break down the premise of the show.
c) On the same line, considering the age of the known precedents, Fridge logic kicks in.
d) It also smells at a blatant toy-driven move, which implies the change could be shoehorned in the worst way possible.

a) Yeah a bit, though technically she's already more powerful I'd think? Although I guess there's a social rank issue too. But then again, she's always been higher up the chain than the others too. To be honest, all this does is to make the difference more visible? (Not saying that's not a problem though, just saying there's always been at least some imbalance).
- On a sidenote, I'd love to see Rarity use/develop her magic more!

b) That's true, though do we really know how these things work? Could be a long road from just changing to reaching any significant increase in power.
- Though to be fair, I don't know if these things are already known and I just don't know because I've been avoiding the topic.

c) See above, sort of.

d) That could easily get ugly, yeah. I caaaaaan see the change working out okay, but only if done right. Let's hope for the best, I guess.
