When battle ressing him, he'd sometimes have full threat back straight away, but sometimes be (as expected) starting from zero. Has anyone witnessed this? I'm wondering if there's a mechanic to maintain threat through death to allow for tanks dying.

We had this happen and were fairly sure it depended on how you got killed. If shannox killed you, you get your threat back on res, but if you did to a trap you didnt. Cant say conclusively but it did line up with the logs we had.

As said if your tank is suddenly taking a huge spike of damage he is almost definately being hit by a trap, he just needs to be ready to pop a CD if he accidently hits one. At least for me it was the only time I went low.

Range on the 'Separation Anxiety' is 80 - 85 yards

We pushed the limit and then made world markers on the boss and where the dog was when Shannox got the buff. This allowed the off-tank to easily manouver Riplimb without worry of going past this.

Also a small trick for Riplimb. Shannox throws his spear close to Riplimb for him to retrieve it. If you have a warrior tank they can Heroic Leap / Intervene someone just as the spear is being thrown, hence helping to get the dog even further away from the spear before he can pick it up and retrieve it.

We found killing Shannox in Baleroc's room was the easiest. Lots of room to move, very few LoS issues and it is almost perfectly sized for dropping stacks.
