My raid has only one melee (a rogue). The other DPS are Elemental Shaman, Hunter, Mage, and Warlock. We put the warlock and rogue on Ignacius so that the lock dots help take down the Aegis and perhaps more importantly so the lock dots don't do too much damage on Feludius while he swaps to Feludius. The goal is balance, not speed.

In phase 2, we put all DPS on Arion (except the rogue), burning him down to 35%. The reason is because he blinks around and is a real pain in the rear, so it is difficult to balance damage doing DPS on both of them. If we do our damage to Arion first, balancing becomes a piece of cake.

The keys to downing this fight are to keep everyone alive for P3, and to balance damage on the sub-bosses so that the P3 boss has as little health as you can manage.

The first two phases are completely about finesse, not power. If you try to muscle your way through those phases, you end up with imbalanced sub-bosses and a final boss with too much health to burn through.

With my raid's DPS, we can just about get him down in P3 with 1 dead DPS, provided all subs at transition were 25% or lower, so it's still tuned pretty tight for us.

You shouldn't have to leave melee range very often while moving him. The huge hitbox that forces you to move far away also lets you hit from far away.

Thanks for all the helpful tips guys. We finally got him down yesterday.

Probably the best thing to do for this fight is to bring a bear as the other tank, then he can go cat in the final phase, when you only need one tank. However, if raid composition makes this impossible, and you have two tanks in the final phase, it may be helpful to alternate taunts to keep moving him around the circle. Also, remember that you have heals, and they even work on other people! Tank survival really isn't the issue in phase 3 - the important thing is to keep the DPS alive for long enough that they can kill the boss. So use LoH and WoG on the DPS.

If staying alive in P3 long enough for the kill is an issue, you can probably get by just single-tanking the whole fight and bringing an extra real DPS. The p1 and p2 tank damage aren't all that high, it's mostly a challenge for your tank to hold threat on both mobs and do his interrupts while being punted around. Bears at least are pretty good at this, not sure about others. P1 and p2 dps go through the roof both because of an extra dpser and because cleave classes (especially combat rogues) can thoroughly wreck both bosses at once. Melee needs to watch for and run out of glaciates though.
