Re: Beta - Build 13277 - 11/10
So now Prot Paladins and Disc Priests both bring two external damage reduction cooldowns each, one AoE, one single target.
HoSac, 30%/12 secs/2 mins
Pain Suppression, 40%/8 secs/3 mins
Divine Guardian, 20%/6 secs/2 mins (30 yard range)
PW: Barrier, 30%/10 secs/3 mins (small area)
Do any other specs come close to these two now for preventing damage?

Prot warriors with safeguard have a very short CD on a 30% 6s damage reduction (as well as taking the next hit).
The only downside is it costs 10% of total threat, but on a fight with 2 tanks and lots of taunting you can just taunt to get the threat back again since its "saved" on the OT.

More like "Damn you Wowhead!"
They had the patch changes up more than 12 hours before MMO-Champion did.

No more than Hand of Sacrifice is too powerful for other tanks.
Maybe I'm missing the boat on this, but please explain?
We more or less bring two cooldowns for the other tank to the encounter.

Makes me think Divine Guardian should be in holy, or early enough in prot that holy can reach it.

Early prot means ret can reach it. I think Blizzard doesn't want that as then it becomes something a ret can do to help a tank, rather than something a tank can do to help the raid.

Ret is pretty crappy right now.. they could use with some additional utility like that.

It also becomes something all Ret palys can use in PVP. Chained "raid wall"s would be immense in a 40-on-40 BG.

What's the difference between that and prot pallies? I go as a prot pally into WG and I see many other prot pallies do the same.
They could just disable the effect for PvP.

We should have some benefit from it besides, Do it for the raid.
Yeah they could do so much, that pvp balance isnot affected by pve balance and the other way round. They stubbornly refuse to separate them.

For some undisclosed reason, Bliz really hates the "disable the effect for PVP" answer, even though you'd think it'd be the way to "fix" the problem.

Seems that the reduction of effectiveness based on the number of targets was built in for all classes. Oh Efflorescence took a double hit, healing only for half the amount.
The Seal of truth nerf was a bit unexpected. It was quiteweak for us, was it better for retribution? Don´t think so. Did SoR already overtake Truth oor do we hve to wait for a nerf or two until it´s better and we come full circle
on Live SoR isn't nearly as good even in AE setups as SoT. Even before Inquiry of Faith is factored in SoT still gives me more dps on trash. with the Censure change, I'd imagine this flips so SoR is actually useful for AE again, but only for that (like it's supposed to)

We did nerf Censure and raise Exorcism in a previous build, but that should not be new information.
It was the post right after the one you quoted too :/

Is it just me or is Divine Guardian still reducing damage taken by the paladin even though the tooltip says otherwise? I've been using it in ICC as an extra CD when I don't need the raid wall. I know it's doing it because I've tested it multiple times against constant damage like the dot in the bug hallway before putricide.
