I'm still waiting on my raptor. I quit killing Ghaz'ranka for the fish book because it doesn't go for much on my server anymore, might be worth doing in case prices increase though. On the other hand, they may just make the low-level version of ZG that they're implementing drop the book, or move the drop elsewhere (vendor? rep?).

I've been doing it at least once a week all year, and lately every time it resets. Random drops are random.

I heard a rumor that it will either be a 5 man or some quest thing. I dont think they are removing it completely and as I understood this rumor stated that the mounts are still obtainable.

It kind of makes me cringe. I mean, at least if you have till infinity, you'll usually end up getting something. But with ZG disappearing with the release of Cataclysm, that's definitely a "you're fucked" date.

Yeah the low level ZG thing is currently just a rumor. I do expect they'll do something with the area, but what is something we don't know yet. They might just turn it into another zone, or another subzone of STV.

I remember reading an interview of some sort where they said that ZG was becoming part of the StV questing experience. In northern STV, you'll do some pre-quests and get to go into a level-appropriate ZG instance (or possibly phased version of the zone) just for you, where you can kill the bosses solo or in a party. At that time though, they said they wouldn't be removing the lvl 60 version of the instance. I guess they changed their mind on that part. Maybe they decided to make ZG a level-appropriate dungeon instance.
