Is this what the beta account looks like? Haven't gotten an email confirming it, but the account is definitely new.
Edit: Well, it looks like it's the beta. Characters ending up on Mekkatorque EU PVE, no other options. Go, downloader, go!
Editedit: Woo, beta access \o\
Hey... I have one of those too now. It looks the same as your screen shot...

With Divine Illumination gone, what is the 2pc bonus of the Holy version of T10?
A reckoning is not to be postponed indefinitely.

One of my biggest issues on the beta is using the default ui. If I could just get a holy power indicator somewhere near my toon I'd probably be twice as effective. Does anyone have any sort of addon that displays this?

I'm sticking as close as I can tolerate to the default UI for Cataclysm. I've just used MoveAnything to put the default frames in the lower middle of the screen.

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
I'd like to see a couple of beta/PTR data sets.
Next question. Has anyone ever spotted block events on :
Thanks.
- level 80 (PTR), 85 (beta)
- any race, any prot-centric spec
- naked
- no buffs
- base Strength/Agility/Intellect
- total AP, total SP
- physical crit chance, spell crit chance
Next question. Has anyone ever spotted block events on :
- Judgement
- HoW
- seals (that have a damage-component, obviously)
Thanks.

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
So what kinds of builds are people using for cata heroics on Beta?
Playing around at wowtal, it seems like there's basically a 2/2 Reckoning, 2/2 Hallowed Ground threat build or a 2/2 EG, 2/2 GbtL, 1 filler defensive build (probable raid build?)

Whitetooth compiles a list of 4.0 values, which indirectly* reflects into the matlabadin code. It's now the time to return the favor. If you can, give him a helping hand. Thanks.
* "indirectly" isn't all that appropriate in the context. I've been bugging him to update the lookup tables.

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
I have a question. What changes (if any) have there been to CC skills for various classes?
With the emphasis on CC for caty heroics (at least before we outgear them) it will probably affect which chars I level first. I was going to skip any of my pure dps chars due to the WotLK anoyance of 20 minute queue times. But it seems like it could very likely be that reliable cc is in demand again. It could easily be that all the tanks, healers, and dps/cc classes form their own groups leaving the dungeon finder with all the dps DKs, dps warriors, and huntards that can't trap. If warlocks cc is as strong as it sounds and cc is in demand for groups forming in /trade or /lfg I might just have to consider it.
I wonder if patch 4.1 will end up having an added dungeon finder checkbox for cc and try to give you at least 2 in a random group.
Thanks!

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
I'm not sure things have changed much. Shaman have a new CC for Elementals which acts a lot like Polymorph (no cooldown, 50 second duration, breaks on damage).
A lot of the other changes are convenience changes so that using a CC effectively is made easier. (Example, Warlocks can glyph so that Fear doesn't make the target run around.)

It's more like a priest's shackle (similar graphic, etc.).

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
In one of the very early blue posts, months ago, I saw the announcement that Consecration will benefit from crit now, doing 150% dmg when critting. Is it still valid, or it's the same as live?
Also, are still consecration and AS on the spell hit table (and with consecration being able to 'miss' only for its first tick, the rest being 100% hit no matter what)? If AS still is, then it s*cks donkey balls :/

From what little testing I did for Theck, every tick of consecrate can miss or crit independently.
I don't know that AS is even on the spell hit table on live... I'm pretty sure it follows the same mechanics as judgement.
