Re: Ask a beta tester thread
I expect if you haven't raided at 80 and are just leveling through from WotLK zones, you're going to have a hard time but it'll be do-able 1 on 1. (Just bring a little food and spec for leveling not for "max dps"... so, self-healing talents and the like.) If you pull extras, that's where it gets dicey with raid epics. I would expect you'll get a pretty decent set of new 278-285 greens pretty quickly in hyjal or vashj'ir, since you won't have to compare it to raid epics with slightly worse stats but gems to make up the difference.

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
This post seems interesting. I'd like to see several data sets from PTR :
I. naked; report race, base Str&Agi, dodge/parry chance
II. equip several items with Strength, but lacking parry rating; report total Str, parry chance
III. equip several items with dodge rating, but lacking Agility; report dodge rating&chance
IV. equip several items with Agility, but lacking dodge rating; report total Agi, dodge chance
Thanks.

Edited my original post.
I used two sets of gear. Each set started with all pieces for the initial point, then removed a piece from top down for each subsequent point. I didn't have an abundance of Agility gear, fair warning.
Gear set 1, used in points II & III:
- Bile-Encrusted Medallion
- Royal Crimson Cloak
- Sanctified Lightsworn Handguards
- Legguards of Lost Hope
- Grinning Skull Greatboots
- Ashen Band of Endless Courage
- Devium's Eternally Cold Ring
Gear set 2, used in point IV:
- Cuirass of Calamitous Fate +10 Agi from enchant
- Winding Sheet +23 Agi from Engineering enchant
- Bloodvenom Blade no socket bonus
- Abyssal Leather Leggings of Striking (+15 Str/Agi/Stam)
- Vanguard Pauldrons
- Vanguard Gauntlets
- Vanguard Sabatons
- I. Draenei, Str: 152 / Agi: 87, Dodge: 5.33% / Parry: 5.00%
- II. Str: 847 / Parry: 8.77%
- 745 / 8.25%
- 667 / 7.83%
- 564 / 7.30%
- 425 / 6.54%
- 322 / 5.96%
- 254 / 5.57%
- III. Dodge Rating: 694 / Dodge: 18.50%
- 621 / 17.40%
- 519 / 15.78%
- 451 / 14.65%
- 284 / 11.29%
- 157 / 8.76%
- 73 / 6.97%
- IV. Agi: 362 / Dodge: 10.43%

- 192 / 7.37%
- 122 / 6.02%

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
Mea culpa if this has been addressed somewhere but I haven't seen it - the scaling of emblems for gear has changed dramtically. The 60-95 EoF we are spending now to the 1500+ we will be spending of the newer emblems indicates a major change. Are the number of emblems we get that much more per instance or can we expect to have to grind a LOT more raids before we can buy new gear?

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
On the PTR I was getting like 16 Justice Points per boss kill, or maybe 11.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

I've also heard some reports here and there that newly copied characters are getting much more favorable Emblem to Justice Point conversions than Blizzard announced. 11-12 Justice Points per Emblem is what I've heard some people mention. There's a couple of threads about it on the official PTR forum.

Yea. I recopied my main and went from 200+ points to 2000+ points.

Heroic.
It's gonna take forever to have enough points to buy a single piece of gear >.>

Bashiok wrote:We’ve revised the Justice Points conversion rate for Emblems of Triumph and Emblems of Frost. When the upcoming 4.0.1 patch goes live, these emblems will be converted into 11.58 Justice Points (up from the previously planned 2.75 Justice Points per emblem). Justice Points accrued above the soft cap of 4,000 will be converted to gold at a rate of 47.5 silver per point (down from 2 gold per point) when patch 4.0.3 goes live.
The original explanation thread ( http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 6850245012 ) and the subsequent conversion math update ( http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... eNo=10#184 ) have been updated to reflect these changes.

Re: Ask a beta tester thread
My PTR client suddenly had a second account. When I log onto eu.battle.net, I find this one (attached pic):
Is this what the beta account looks like? Haven't gotten an email confirming it, but the account is definitely new.
Edit: Well, it looks like it's the beta. Characters ending up on Mekkatorque EU PVE, no other options. Go, downloader, go!
Editedit: Woo, beta access \o\

They must have changed it. I ran heroic Stonecore up to boss 1 (no kill), then did all of heroic deadmines minus bugged event at the end and had 375. I started at 0.
So yea... major buff?
oh PS I was told that you get more if you do your kills in a "guild" run.
