Tanking Rotation in Cataclysm

So far it looks like Holy Shock will replace Holy Shield in the rotation, but has anybody found a particular rotation to be working really well for them? With 15 seconds on Consecration I figure there will be some wiggle room to get a couple extra spells in...just haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

Alot of our spells are still not in the current Beta and we have no clue how our new trees will look.
There are alot of changes coming for Pallys and Its a little early still to be trying to work out our two rotations for single and multi target fights.

If you're really interested in how it's currently looking, it's essentially the exact same except you fit in Crusader Strike where you have a spare GCD due to the gaps created by the now passive Holy Shield and the longer lasting Consecration. Things will change more once they change our talents more, and also when they add Blinding Shield and such.

Impossibly to say, we don't know what the protection tree is going to look like - it hasn't been updated.

1. Consecration has gone out to 15 seconds, and may not be part of our single target rotation.
2. Holy Shield is passive.
3. Crusader Strike is 4 sec CD, but it isn’t clear to me what the scaling is like.
4. Blinding Shield is NYI

Most likely outcome is a reasonably simple priority list, hopefully based on 969 with some substitutions.

I’d like more TPS in general, and an actual significant difference between my boss and AE rotations.

Had the rather interesting experience of tanking with a DK tank for the first time since Naxx last night in Halion – had one of our DPS DKs who tanks the other 10-man team put on his tanking gear for Halion because the trash is just a little bit too brutal to tank with only 2 people.

OMGHOLYFUCK do DKs have retardedly high AE threat. We had to split up and be 20 yards apart, or I’d just get everything peeled off me. I could just barely keep a single mob focussed on me, the entire rest of the pack just switch to him.

I assume that means he was Frost or Unholy (lolUnholy?) to do it? I don't seem to remember Blood's AE being quite beefy enough to do that to a fulltime Prot Pally, but it has been a long while since I actuall cared about tanking as a DK.

Last time i did Halion my cotank was a blood dk with higher gearscore than me, and I peeled off most mobs from him.

Frost - I just checked 7/56/8 is his tanking spec.

Thinking about it, the last time I tanked with a DK they were blood, and I had the reverse problem - peeled everything but their primary target - same issue as Vrimmel.

Thank god they're dumping the idea of three DK tanking trees.

Actually, nope nothing so far, kinda disappointed. Anyone know if Blinding shield will have a damage compoent added to it? Its looks like a nice "Oh shit!" button, but if its just a minor CC that breaks easy, is it worth it? Although again, I don't want a shockwave clone.

Holy Wrath working on everything and auto-crit on undead/demons would be nice. I'd like some more AE snap-aggro tools, given we don't have an AE fixate.
