Remember, Hand of Reckoning does damage, and the purple orb sticks to the last thing that damages them. So you have 4 different spells to try to get them. Exorcism, Hand of Reckoning, Avenger's Shield and Judgement. Use them.

Hand of Reckoning does no damage to the dark nuclei, as they are taunt immune.

You can successfully use hand of reckoning on a nuclei that hasn't aggroed onto anyone yet, but you cannot use it on one that is already targeting someone.


Another piece of general advice for this fight: If your tank is bad at generating threat while picking up orbs... you don't have to DPS Keleseth at all.

Is it safer and worthwhile to use 3 tanks with 3 healers on H:10? We tried this late last night for a couple of attempts with 3 healers and 3 tanks and wound up wiping ~30% a couple of times after about 5 - 6 minutes.

I'm wondering if doing it with 2 tanks would make it easier or is it just a very slow fight?

We are mostly in ICC-10 gear with a bit of hard-mode gear.

Answered my own question tonight - did this on Heroic with 3 tanks (2 paladin each on Taldaram and Valanar, 1 DK on Keleseth), 3 healers and 3 ranged each covering a certain portion of the room and 1 rogue for full-time DPS.

It worked quite nicely, just took about 7 minutes.
