It is an actual saber lash on the giant skeletons, they just don't hit hard enough for it to be particularly threatening to tank them by yourself.

Shoju wrote:Trash was fun. We alternated between shackling the spiders and the mages to figure out which we liked better. The raid was split on which went easier. The real killer is when you just pull a pack of trash and then a stupid bone guy shows up. That was brutal. Mainly with the spell lockout the first couple of times when people didn't understand what they were doing.

What really sucked was pulling the pack in the second room only to have 2 bone guys come out, and thus dealing with the 8+ mob pack & 2 giants. (on 25)

The trash is fairly simple, so long as you have people on interupt duty on the spiders/other casters.

If skele's pop, just burn those first then continue with the rest.

P.S. Glyphed Holy Wrath in this place = OP for unexpected trash storming your raid.

It's called sabre lash, and it's definately split damage. If you are in 245+ level gear though they are easily solo tankable.

lol this happened to us on our first night, nobody knew about the traps and we somehow didn't trigger the ones in the first room. I went into the second to pull the group in the center and hit both traps and pulled everything. "Holy shit where did those come from!!"

We sent in a stealthed kitty. He set off the traps and was able to escape unscathed - usually. If not, he died and the mob reset. If everyone stays back behind the archway, the giants simply patrol around the room and can be taunted and killed one at a time by pulling them through the archway into the next room. Be careful not to take them too far as they have very, very short leashes and will reset a very small distance past the arch.

If you have a rogue in your group, they can see the traps. They are very big and easy to pick out. If you don't, the second room is the easier of the two to deal with, as you can LoS pull the pack back into the previous room with out having issues with Evading or leashing. The simplest way to pull this trash is to LoS pull it by hitting the right hand side with and AS, and properly CCing the Spiders with Shackle.

IF you have to go into the room and you dont have a rogue, the traps are on the left platform and the back one, so the right platform is a "safe zone" however the LoS pull is much easier and cleaner.

the huge bone sentinels hit for about 11-13k each cleave (saberlash) on me (mainly ilvl245 geared). We got a rogue to disarm it and its cleave (saberlash) fell to like 5-6k...

We single tanked each bone sentinels

I won't spoil it for people who haven't seen it yet (unless someone else cares to) but we all go a big laugh on vent after killing Saurfang, and going through to the new wing and half the raid dying to the new frogger.

As far as actual trash, there was a a Val'kyre (sp?) that is pretty simple, but spawns 2 'images' of your raid members that you'll have to kill. Some abominations that will chain hook people to them (think Meathook in CoS).

Biggest 'fun' is the two dogs in the hallways by Rotface and Festergut. They're basically mini-Gluth's that stack a Mortal Strike debuff on you and perform a decimate ability. For others that have been in there, does he eat the zombies that spawn to gain health back too? We weren't sure and I didn't check the logs.

For the most part, the trash in this wing at least seems like you have to be a little more careful than the AoE-fest that there was the first wing.

Definitely enjoying this trash more than just aoe-ing everything down.

As for [avoiding spoiler] they either weren't eating the zombies on 25 man, or we killed the zombies too fast to worry. We did consider that too but didn't seem to happen.

And killing each zombie nets you 2 rep! Possible rep farming for as long as your raid can handle it :D

Precious doesn't eat the zombies from what I noticed. Stinky doesn't spawn zombies.

The val'kyr(or whatever) seemed to spawn a whole lot of the copies on 25-man atleast, I got two by mistake and we quickly got overwhelmed by little copies of ourselves (we were just exploring on 25-man after killing Saurfang, the actual clearing is later this week :) ), so I assume they summon copies regularly with an interval?

Yeah, they spawn 5 copies in 25man. They're pretty harmless, though.
