One-Handed Weapon Spec vs. Spell Warding/Pursuit of Justice

Postby Gerome » Fri May 30, 2008 2:59 am

Hey guys! I'm a tankadin that's new to this forum, and it's one of the most amazing forums I've run across (one great reason is its not blocked at work like every other site is! lol)

Anyways, I'd like a little input on this. I'm currently using the 0/49/12 cookie-cutter build at the moment, but I had an idea. I'm currently 5/5 One-Handed Weapon Spec, and I was wondering: would it be worth giving up to get 2/2 Spell Warding and 3/3 Pursuit of Justice? I'm sitting at 450 unbuffed spell damage in my primary tanking gear, so would it be a noticable loss in threat? Not to mention the boons I'd get from the other two talents. Thanks for your input. :D

even longer, 5% less threat in favor of "some" spell reduction is a horrid choice

The 5% bonus damage from 1H spec applies to all damage done, not just white damage. It's pretty significant.

This is my current spec:

2/3 Precision
1/5 Reckoning
0/1 Kings
1/5 Reckoning
2/2 Spell Warding
4/5 Ardent Defender
1/2 Imp Judgement
3/3 PoJ

Given the abysmal BV at the end of T6 gear, I'm thinking of dumping Shield Spec and putting those points back into Precision, Imp Judge, and AD.
