Druid Healers

Postby dzigner210 » Thu May 15, 2008 1:53 pm

I searched for this topic and didnt seem to find my answer.

There's been a couple of threads where I've read that druid healers are great for pallies. I've been running Kara and Heroics with a druid healer and i have problems going oom. My health always stay topped off though. Should i just pull more or downrank (which i dont want to do because usually the dps I run with do well.) Should I change out my gear maybe, my armory link should be in my sig. (at work cant tell)

Or anything I should mention for to my healer as to how to heal a pally tank (if there is anything different.)

Thanks, this community is great!!!

If you're always topped off (and the druid isn't working hard to do so?), talk to them and see how much you CAN pull. :) More incoming damage = more damage healed (which I think you'd see with ANY healer).

This is definitely an issue with you not taking enough damage (so either swap out some mitigation gear for threat gear, or just pull more/CC less) and not related to your healer. The only thing a healer can do to lessen the amount of mana you get back while still keeping you topped off is to use abilities such as Power Word: Shield that prevent you from taking damage. (So it follows that if you ever run with a priest healer who keeps using PW:S, let them know that it's actually helpful if you take the damage and get healed instead)

It's pretty easy to pick up some Stamina/Spelldamage gear, particularly rings and neck. Swap into your threat gear (yes, yet another set you should have) and let the damage come in. The healer is obviously up to the task, and druids last pretty long with their HoTs and such.

I have the robe, but only cause I like the way it looks, and is more fashionable than taking off your pants.

Guess it all depends on where you are and who you're with . . .
