Yes, they apply multiplicatively, ie, GoAK + DP + AD = 0.5*0.8*0.8 = 32% damage taken, or 68% total damage reduction.

It's situational, sure, but intelligent use of CDs is important.

Ultimate goal of a tank in one step (during progression):
1. Mitigate/avoid 100% of mitigatable/avoidable damage in any given encounter that results in a successful kill.


This means not letting things cleave your raid in twain, clicking Holy Radiance+Divine Guardian during heavy raid damage, even so far as to sacrifice a DPS via Divine Shield to buy you a life saving heal. Oh and most definitely in order to do all this you must be alive.
