Just a sidenote here. As we (probably) all know, overheal doesn't generate threat. But does the shield WoG generates when we're already fully healed?

And as I sit here I'm wondering if healing threat is really split amongst all mobs in the current fight? I seriously doubt that, but that's just a gut feeling

The shield generates 5.50 threat before RF (16.50 threat with RF) regardless of how much overheal WoG does. The actual absorbs of the shield don't generate any threat

It looks like you're saying five and a half threat, which doesn't make sense - and
the obvious amendment to 550 threat still strikes me as surprisingly low...?

Well I noticed that a lot of buffs/debuffs follow one of two threat rules:
1. Threat = level learned (blessings)
2. Threat = 1/2 level learned (Seals, Hand Spells save for salv, HoJ, AvWrath,etc.)

Shoot, buffing SoR nets you 1.5 threat (learned at level 3). I am guessing the absorb shield follows some similar mechanic since it is a static 5.5 threat, but you don't learn it at level ll, so I am not sure.

Thanks for the numbers Jere, i was doing a lot of testing on WoG and it's supposed threat and I couldn't come up with any viable threat out of it at all. Your numbers explain a lot and are congruent with the results i was getting as well. WoG is just not a reliable source of threat at this current time, mostly due to suffering from over-healing but also the 25 percent threat reduction on heals still being in place.
