Coming back to WoW and my Pally
Hey guys a bunch of friends and I are coming back to wow and I plan on continuing my lvl 55 pally. I had a few questions. He is already duel spec prot/ret but I didn't know if I should be buying tank gear as I go or just play with what drops until lvl 80? I currently have my profs as herb/skin to make money but was thinking of dropping one to go jc. I have a lvl 70 dk I plan on going mining/bs with so I want another good tank prof. I am posting from my blackberry while at work so sorry for any typos.
Thanks
Thanks

well wait until u get into outland and u can pretty much rely on quest rewards and drops from dungeons once u have some gear
Pretty much same idea once u get into Northrend

Thanks for the response.
What glyphs (if any) should I have at my current lvl? For both prot and ret.

Tank drops are awful thin for the first few
levels in Northrend. If you have some money
to throw around, the Cobalt armor set provides
generous dollops of stamina and defense rating
to get you going.
The Divine Plea glyph, once you get that ability,
is good stuff. I have the Righteous Defense glyph
because I don't like it when a life-saving ability
has a significant chance of failing, and the Vengeance
glyph is very good.
Don't get the Consecration glyph for your tank set.
It makes repositioning a bit harder, which is a bit
bad, and it buggers up our rotation which is very bad.

Where do I find the cobalt armor? Is it a vendor item?

Nope, it's made by blacksmiths.
The plans for it are trained, and the material
requirements are modest, so don't get bent over
a chair buying it. You could farm up the materials
for the entire set in, like, an hour or two.

Re: Coming back to WoW and my Pally
There are several nice pieces you can get from the Nexus dungeon quests once you are able to run it in Northrend (Coldarra/Borean Tundra). Some are culminations of chains, so hit wowhead or other sites to make sure you knock out the prerequisites.

I should have kept quiet and thought a fool then to have typed and removed all doubt.

Re: Coming back to WoW and my Pally
use the regular dps gear that drops but when a highstam piece or a def-rating piece drops use that it instead, given that it IS an upgrade.
And I remember using a block-val shoulder on my DK tank while leveling that I got from a quest (AN i think) because my previous one was very very bad
