to regem or not to regem, THAT is the question?

With the ICC anti-dodge debuff; I'm looking into ways to try re-maximizing my Effective health.


I'm looking at my agi/stam gems and considering replacing them with dodge/stam or even just pure stams.



I'm also examining my enchants and considering going back to using +defense enchants rather than say.... +10 stats to chest or +22 agi to cloak.

From what I've read, whether you're in Icecrown Citadel or not, you don't want to have more than one red gem. And that gem is actually purple, and you only have it to activate your meta.

After that, if you want to beat progression content, you gob on stamina. A +6 stamina socket bonus is not worth looking at, a +9 may or may not be and a +12 is probably worth changing your colors for, but aside from that you slam +30sta gems in every nook and cranny.

Right now I only consider gemming for socket to get a +9 stam bonus. But I've generally gone for the purple agi/stam gems to fit into my red sockets.

I use 3 purple's right now; and 2 of those give me a +9 stam socket bonus. Any suggestions as to which of my purples to replace and which to replace with stam?


And is this just for straight health, or will I benefit more by having the Effective Health from the combination avoidance, health, and mitigation?

Right now I'm 3/4 ICC10, and I've done the Lady Deathwhisper on 25 (didn't down her unfortunately) and I seem to do fairly well with my current gear. But I've made a point of being one of the best with lower gear qualities than any other tank, so I need to be at the top of my game in gemming and enchants.

I think I would put a Solid in your shoulder socket to squeeze out a little more EH, but man, it's not a big deal. There's nothing about your current setup that I would consider a mistake.
