Question regarding SoL vs SoC/SoR
Hi Guys,
Quick question, last night I was playing alt, a resto shammy, level 50, with PuG doing ZF.Our tank was a level 50 Ret Pala, using Seal of Light, so as a healer, I had a very very boring run through ZF, and by the time the last boss came, I specced back to Enhancement and dpsed him instead.
My question though is this, how much threat does Seal of Light generate? Not once did the tank loose threat, the group was pretty even, all level 49 and 50, a hunter, a rogue and a feral druid on dps. Tank was usuing a shield and one hander, even though he was ret.

SoL shouldn't generate any threat on it's own. Are you sure he didn't use judgement of light + seal of corruption?

Even with a 1-hander, most of his talents boost damage and Damage = threat. That said, yeah, I think SoL healing generates threat for the caster.
@Hoho: He wouldn't have had Corruption/Vengeance at lvl 50.

Re: Question regarding SoL vs SoC/SoR
I was watching him pretty carefully, since I didn't have anything else to do.
He was casting Judgement of Justice and running Seal of Light. I asked him partway through
to change seals and make my life more interesting, but he wouldn't.
Note: I meant to Quote this, but hit Edit instead because I'm stupid. The above is my best effort to reconstruct your post. I'm sorry. -Arcand

Moving this thread to the correct forum as it is not gear related

At such low level, he can hold aggro by just whites, Crusader Strikes and consecration. SoL also produces considerable heals but the threat is divided by the number of targets nearby so it's generally low.

It is divided, but it is also multiplied by RF. Depending on the number of adds, it can be useful to pick up adds in certain situations. I was on adds in OS when the MT died. I picked up the boss and swapped to SoL to help pick up the adds. It worked well enough to get their initial attention and guide them to my consecrate.
