spec/rotation question

Postby Alatàriël » Mon Aug 03, 2009 12:14 pm

good day,

i've a question about my spec and rotation.

when i use the 96969 rotation i run into a "dead" zone. i use the following rotation:

-holy shield
-hammer of the righteous
-judge
-shield of rigtheousness
-consecration

between hammer and judge i always have the "dead" zone wich is about a second, i usually use that now mostely to trow a SS on me now and then.

my spec is as follow: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-tale ... Bl&group=2

i have now 1/2 improved judgment, should i get 2/2 or would that screw my rotation up more?

thanks in advance

*ps, my armory might show up as ret since that's my main spec but i plan on making prot my main spec.

If you have a "dead zone" you're doing something wrong.

0.0 - HS
1.5 - HotR
3.0 - Judge
4.5 - ShoR
6.0 - Cons
7.5 - HotR
9.0 - HS
11.5 - ShoR
12.0 - Judge
13.5 - HotR
15.0 - Cons
16.5 - ShoR
18.0 - HS
19.5 - HotR
21.0 - Judge
.
.
.
Where's the "dead zone"?

it's between my hammer and judge, but i see now that my rotation can use some better work >.>

i use (or used more now) the rotation that i showed in my op and repeated that, but that would place 2 9s cooldowns after each other wich caused the "dead" zone between hammer and judge the 2nd time. i should have thought it out better

thanks for the answer :)

A lot of people make that mistake - they think the 96 rotation means literally repeating the first five spells in order over and over which is actually inefficient and sub-optimal.

The full "rotation" that actually gets repeated (like if you wanted to use a cast sequence macro) would be:

HS, HotR, Judge, ShoR, Cons, HotR, HS, ShoR, Judge, HotR, Cons, ShoR
