[10m Heroic] Faction Champions

I saw a thread on normal, but haven't seen one for heroic yet as we had a lot of trouble yesterday doing it on our 10m, wiping over 10 times when we usually 1 shot normal mode.

Our biggest problem is that the mobs can now trinket, and that the melee mobs are no longer tauntable and wondering what people do?

Here's the matchup we had:

Holy Pally
Disc Priest
Boomkin
Mage
Enh Shaman
Rogue


Our comp:
DK tank (frost)
DK DPS (blood)
Rogue
Mage
Holy Pally
Prot Pally (me who went holy off spec)
Elemental Shaman
Resto Druid
Marksman Hunter
Destruction Warlock


So for all our tries, we had the Frost DK tank kite the rogue with grip & chains of ice. He got better at doing it, but the rogue seems to kill a range or two when he CoS & Shadowstep at same time or right after a trinket/shadowstep. Blessing of Freedom also hurts as it takes time from our mage to spell steal it, and a person may die during that time. Is there a better way to handle melee as enh shaman was killing people too when cc breaks.

We burnt the priest down with heroism, while ccing pally & enh shaman with fear, sheep, blind, hex. Everytime we killed the priest, at least one of our DPS dies to rogue or enh shaman killing someone right before we kill the priest. When we go on shaman, he would just turn to a melee and instant kill them (got better as people learned to move away when being targetted). But we always had 3+ people dead by the time shaman & priest are down, which eventually leads to a wipe due to no interrupts or cc left. We tried burning shaman first, but we didn't have the interrupts to down him fast enough as either priest or pally are healing. Any suggestions to deal with melee killing people and being hard to kite?

Someone needs to be killing the Enh shaman totems.
When you're killing melee you need to have the rogue use dismantle.

I'd put the rogue on the holy pally (easy to interrupt with wound/mind numbing).
I'd put the DK tank on the rogue.

Two possibilities:
Burn the Enh shaman first - this requires mage/warlock sheep/fear on the priest with maybe a cyclone from your resto druid.
Burn the Priest first - this requires mage to frostbolt kite the enh shaman or the resto druid to chain root the enh shaman. Keep frost trap down.

Those two should be first to die followed by the rogue and then the holy pally. Your ele shaman needs to be ready to purge the HoP at ~30% of the current burn target's life (should be purging constantly anyway).

People need to use their escapes if they're dying and healers need to know who's being focused. Warlocks have teleport and deathcoil. Mage has frost nova and blink and iceblock. Rogue has Evasion, CoS, and Vanish. DKs have IBF and army. Pallies have DS and stun. Shaman has hex and earthbind. Resto druid has barkskin. Hunter has disengage and feign death.

I'd really like to get more informations on how you deal with them now.

We just managed our first jaraxxus 10 heroic but banged our heads on the champions.
The best we did was to kill one of the healer.

There's a decent pull strategy that requires a death knight and VERY good killing of shammy totems.

1) Send in a tank with all of his cooldowns blown to get their attention.
1.5) If they have a shaman in their party, you MUST kill the grounding totem that is the first thing to come out.
2) Death grip your first target and administer a back alley beating while the aggro is only on your tank and you have 8-10 unmolested seconds.
3) Proceed as normal.

Turning this into a 5-on-10 is much more forgiving, especially if the first guy you take out is especially troublesome like the warrior or the enh shaman.

From the tankspot video, letting your dk tank pulling with hungering cold is OP.

Also, bring the player, not the class? No mass dispel makes this fight magnitudes harder. I'm not sure if it's an option for you, but bring a priest.

Without any rogue or shaman interruptions are pretty hard too.

Our raid comp is:

Paly tank / ret offspec
Blood Dk / frost offspec (tank)
Unholy Dk/ Blood offspec
MM hunter
Resto Druid
Disc Priest
Ele / resto shaman
Fire / ? mage
warlock of some kind
and Rogue of some kind

We constantly get the same group for faction champs.

disc preist
tree druid
mage
enh shaman
rog
warlock

we just put the bigass symbols (square and circle) on the melee and tell people if a square or circle is near you GTFO.

The pull starts with the rog sapping the preist and stun / kicking heals while we blow up the tree druid.

Bloodlust

We have a DK yoink the tree druid into the group while /focus the enh shaman with chains. The other DK /focus the rogue. Frost DK hungering Cold while everyone is together. Our hunter is killing totems as he sees them in particular grounding and healing totems(6k/ tic).

Shaman spam purges the tree druid and we kill.

Move on to the disc priest spam purge.

NPC Rog uses shadowstep and cloak of skill, someone just died.

Move on to the warlock and pet hellfire = GTFO

Mage dies

Rog dies

Enh dies

Basically if we can get to the part where the rog eats someone, which happens every time right after the healers die we win. Again big things to remember if a melee is close to you move, they cant hit you if they cant catch you. We usually come to this fight with all 50 attempts remaining and finish it with 43 remaining. Quite frustrating considering we only raid once a week.

Interesting.
On all ou try we killed (or tried) a heal, usually a priest first.
Meanwhile the rogue usually made a shadowstep and raped one of our clothie. Repeat that 1 or 2 time and you have a wipe.

So we ended using the advanced strat of "fulldps-allhandsondeck" strat to burn that rogue while maintaining some CC on the healers. Once that guy is dead, we kill the healers and only then the shaman.

Whatever works I guess..
