Tanking XT-002 Hardmode

Hello there!

I'm a little bit in trouble with my last tanking experience at XT-002. I don't know why but anytime during the fight I get ~23k Dmg and after 3 secons ~24k again. Well, after these two hit's I am dead. We tried it three times - without success.

But what is wrong? It is my mistake? Healer mistake?
I use my trinkets, pots ... - all cd's.

Every healing class in the game can get a big one off inside three seconds. Tell your healers that the warmup tier's over, it's time for game faces and seething, coruscating energies.

Indeed, your healers just need to learn to heal through it. Those hits are in his damage range. He was likely hitting you that hard on normal mode for your early kills as well.

so from the incoming damage this looks like 25 man Ulduar... in which you didn't get any heals for 3s? that's a little ridiculous.

Yeah, he generally hits that hard. If you're doing hard-mode I would assume you've got healing sorted, but it looks like they needed another reality-check. Can anyone that are better than me at reading WWS see if Demoralizing Shout fell off between the 20k and the 25k hit?

Well, it looks like that dks or warriors always are so much better at avoiding damage. :/

Don't let them get to you :) It's one of the hardest physical hitting bosses in game - everyone is spiky here.

That's not true at all though, Warriors will definitely take bigger damage spikes than you, assuming equal gear.

Yes, but the boss has no Demoralizing Shout, Demoralizing Roar, or Curse of Weakness debuff showing up at all. Someone should be putting that up for you.'


EDIT: In fact looking at the total buffs/debuffs for the whole night, you barely had commanding shout and XT never once was hit with an AP debuff. Both of those will be of considerable help.
