Yeah, the roots are always either 34k or 44k hp. I'm not sure why the discrepancy but some were 34 and others were 44. /shrug. http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=33168 Notice that the highest hp listed is 44k, so it's not really that bad.

You definitely have some leeway, when we were breaking roots out it'd take (sometimes) 3 gcds and even then people were able to get out of the explosions. Only two or three died by the end.

It definitely didn't happen at all when we did this achievement with no trees up last night. If you're right, the time is at least pretty far off. The extra healing Freya does was also hardly noticeable.

Modus, doesnt she at some point spawn additional adds if you start attacking her with 25ish stacks?

u cant get more packs even if you leave her at 25 stacks, theres only 6 packs in the whole encounter

you wait until she spawns her last set, which has to be anything but a conservator, and you just off-tank them and kill her.

NO.
We did the 25stack achievement with a conserator, the mushrooms increase dps apparently so P2 went fast anyway.
having the 3elementals is annoying since youll be pushed around but far from dangerous.
However it is IMPOSSIBLE to do with only detonating lashers, when they die every lasher removes 2 stacks from her. There only spawns 10 detonating lashers, thus making it impossible since she will only have 20stacks on her when that phase starts.
So in fact, you kill the 5first waves, then leave the 6th one alone, which has to be anything but Detonating lashers, and you off-tank them while your killing her.

Ppl are saying the shroom buff gives some positive benefit dpswise, but i dont honestly dont know.

Obviously :) Just that I´ve never heard anyone say they got a positive buff from the shrooms, but I might just have missed it.

If you read the tooltip when you are under a mushroom it says it gives you 25% more dmg done I think

Unfortunanly i can't check links to wowhead and the such at work. Does that link to "iron roots" or does it link to "strengthened iron roots" because iron roots have less hp and are what spawn when you fight the elder alone. I havent been able to physically check scince we opted to just kill freya for the week w/o the elder on Monday, but when i brought up to my raid members that reports we're showing roots at between 34-44k, there we're a good 12 or 13 people who swore up and down that the positivly had over 50k each during the fight with freya.

Also, unless its been changed scince monday, its 25 percent additional damage from standing under a conservators mushroom (or unless the tooptip is wrong...which...blizz loves to do)

It must vary by 10/25. In 10s last night, it was a 25% buff. Also, I'd like to stress again quickly that it's not necessarily the case that you CAN'T DO IT if the Conservator (or 3 adds) aren't last. It just means you have to tank wave 5 as they kill wave 6.

As for the strategy, we didn't get to try it because a few people in the group still needed Hard mode and we don't use an OT in 10s, which makes tanking Freya and a Conservator from 100 to 0 a much less attractive idea.

The Wowhead link is for strengthened iron roots and does show a top health of 44k.

As for the strategy, we didn't get to try it because a few people in the group still needed Hard mode and we don't use an OT in 10s, which makes tanking Freya and a Conservator from 100 to 0 a much less attractive idea.

How do you do Thorim hard mode with only one tank? Druid? Same question for Iron Council hard mode.
