[25] yogg phase 1
so were doing yogg last night and like 2 minutes into the first phase all would be going smooth then we'd have like 3-4 adds walk in and start eating people while the tanks were moving to pop theirs at sara. do they just start coming wicked fast at the end or likely some dps hung out in the clouds?
also, whenever i was tanking adds i'd always end up getting mc'd and all threat i had built up would poof once it ended or got dispelled. is this supposed to happen or do i just have to be fast on the taunting once i'm free?

Again. What grim vision this? Blood stained tomb, beer cans, and piss. This. Is no life...for a god.

You need to pop 1 or 2 intentionally at the beginning of the fight to avoid this. They spawn faster as the phase goes on. It also helps you beat the enrage timer

I don't see any yogg threads on the first page, much ones specifying how to do P1. P1 is quite tricky (not that you would know since you never raid), I don't see any problem with starting a thread about it.

Guillex closed mine some time ago but reopened it at my humble request
because i specifically wanted to ask about P1. So there should be at least one about p1 specifically.

I never raid because of RL.
Also, you'll notice that no posts were locked/deleted, nor was my post in red.

Also, the Specific Yogg P1 thread touches on the adds question, which is why I was wondering if it needed its own thread. The title of the other thread could be modified, but they seem to be quite close in terms of what's being asked.

Re: [25] yogg phase 1
The longer you stay in phase 1, the faster the adds spawn. Spawning a couple extra adds early in the fight will go a long way towards finishing the phase before getting overrun.
Here's a list, courtesy of ElitistJerks
If what you are seeing is not in line with this, you have people spawning extra adds.

0:10 - First spawn immediately
0:30
0:50 - Next 3 come 20s apart
1:10
1:25
1:40 - Next 3 come 15s apart
1:55
2:05
2:15
2:25 - They end up coming 10s apart indefinitely
2:35
2:45
...
If what you are seeing is not in line with this, you have people spawning extra adds.
