[25] General Vezax, # of healers
How many healers do you guys that are clearing Vezax use on this fight? We had our first set of attemps last night and were we very healer heavy, think at one point at 8 healers. Im guessing 6 is more then enough once we get the cloud rotation down.
How many melee dps (or just people in melee range) are needed to prevent them from being targeted by all the nasty stuff?

First kill we had was with 8 healers and we were 2 minutes ahead of the enrage, last week we rolled with 6 healers and was ok also, dps was slacking this time tho.
It's safer to go with 7-8 healers than 6, unless you know your healers are on the ball and won't let you die.
We had em paired up to take the clouds and the cloud breaker called out whos going etc.

6-8 depending on competency of the players you're bringing.

We use 5. 3 Paladins, 1 Disc Priest on the tank, 1 resto druid on the raid. The resto druid is kind of redundant if you are doing the fight correctly, and we will probably drop him from repeat kills and just have the priest toss out the little raid healing needed.

Wait, wait... You have 3 Paladins raidhealing and you're going to drop a Druid?

I think he was saying the Paladins and the Priest were currently tank healing. If you do the fight right and you are willing to drop a healer for this fight that you will probably need for other parts of the instance you take very little raid damage if done right. We do the fight with 6 healers and a pretty even melee/ranged split. We basically have 3 healers per side and every time the tank kites it switches healer groups. The group not healing goes and finds themselves soronite vapors.

Well, to be honest depending on the way the raid damage is clustered and how intense it is, a skilled holy paladin can out-raid heal a skiled resto druid. The condition is that the raid is taking big spikes, but they are able to be topped off before Lifeblooms can bloom.
Druid healers work differently from other healer types. They are good at healing steady multi-target damage, or taking spikey damage and turning it into steady damage. But the more bursty and large the hits being taken, the more the Holy Paladin style or Holy Priest style is capable of putting out superior output.
However, you misread me.
the 3 paladins and the disc priest was on the main tank. the druid was on the raid.

we downed him in a few attempts last night going with 5 healers. paladin, 2 druids, 1 shaman, 1 priest. We smoked the timer by about 2 minutes.
