Hmmm, I seem to have hit quote instead of edit and not noticed until someone else posted. Nevermind this post people, nothing to see here.

We're going with

Akairos; Tankadin
Corbears; Warrior
Brokentoe; Druid
as our progression tanks

We also have;
Tanknugs; warrior
Renbletz; DK
Aspaerus; DK
for back up tanks.

Druid in fr gear should be able to solo tank hodir.

Didn't someone recently discover that with blessing of freedom, you won't get frozen and you won't be hit for the 40k hits? So 2 paladin rotation BoF just like on Vashj should do the trick with normal tanking gear for hodir.

I was under the impression that Frozen Blows occurs after the big bad aoe frost blast thing which is avoided by standing on the stuff that falls down on the ground. It doesn't make a difference if you're freedomed up or not.

I might be wrong though being an EU guy and all :) - The WoW Raiding Forums ... Coming Soon.

I am the GL of a semi-casual guild. We have Naxx 25 on farm and I use the following tank pool:

Paladin (me)
2 x Druid tanks
1 DK

My DK is DPS first and situational tanking second. I have other DK's but they are pure DPS. My druid tanks did enough DPS in kitty form before dual spec such that when we needed less tanks they just did damage. With DS they should do even more. In my opinion having 5 well geared tanks, three of which can bring it for DPS, gives us a lot of utility. There's no reason why that should change with Ulduar, especially since I have a respectable Ret set. (My warrior needs work but he's a damn good tank.)

We have the following main spec tanks:

Tankadins: 2
Warriors: 2
Druids: 1
DKs: 1

But we alternate and try to share the tanking as much as possible.

In Ulduar so far we've gone for 2+1 tanks with the third alternating between tank/dps or tank/healing as required.
Sure, from a tanks perspective I would like to see more fights where multiple tanks are required but you cant really
accomodate every single player for each raid regardless.

We are a casual raiding guild, 3 nights a week only and last week one of those nights was completely trashed by patch-week bugs.

We run with 4 tanks, 1 of each class, but the bear switches to kitty DPS spec most of the time. None of the other paladins have prot as their off-spec and the one DPS warrior switches between arms/fury currently :P
