Gear choice!

I almost hitted 100 badges of justice and I was planning on getting a nice chest part. I noticed that patch 2.4 was released and I took a look.

My question is should I get the

They say the paladin one isn't that good in the comments. And while you are thinking of that.. what about the pants?:

Please help me out here . I know quite the basic stuff on the stat req.. ammounts of Defense, avoidance etc. I basicly dont wanna waiste 100 badges. I want to go for a chest that I will prolly not replace for a long time .
