I did have not the pleasure so far of running the new istance, but I guess this new mace want to be an alternative to people not running ZA.

I have the punisher myself and I'm happy with it.

The tanking requirements for Heroic MrT are no where near those for running ZA.

getting 5 decent people to pug a heroic = far easier than finding 10 people that work well enuf together to not wipefest ZA.

I'm not in one of our guild's ZA groups. I am tanking Kara and I did tank MT last night, it's not bad with a healer who's on the ball.

I'm overgeared for the content my guild is in, which is only Kara. Shitty, I know, but they aren't capable of killing anything in ZA other than Nalorakk. I blew MgT out of the water. The healing breastplate dropped from Vexallis, the COMMENDATION OF KAEL'THAS (!!!) dropped from the Priestess, and the CUDGEL OF CONSECRATION (!!!!!) dropped from Kael'thas. I got 2 MASSIVE upgrades to my tanking set, and the extra 14 damage and 2 spell hit with the Amani Punisher now seems trivial at this point. Besides, I love the way the Cudgel looks

Overall, I'm impressed with the quality of 2.4 content. I've checked out Sunwell on my mage, and rather enjoyed it. I think it's also nice that I could send my 12 Nether Vortex to my pally so I could upgrade to Stormherald for LOLret.

It drop for us last night. Our tree druid took it for off spec. (kind of pointless for me to take it).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but... in comparison to the Amani Punisher, The Cudgel of Consecration has:

1) Less Stamina
2) Less Spell Damage
3) Slower Speed
4) Bit less Intellect
5) Less spell hit rating

Highly unappealing in my opinion... but I suppose for those who need a replacement for Continuum blade or the S1 Mace, it's fairly good.

Yeah, you'd hardly expect a heroic drop to best something from ZA (thoguh I realize the trinkets are an exception). It's a good weapon for it's placement in progression, but not something more established Tankadins will be going after.
