Reforging hit->mastery?

Hey there.

I've got 306 hit rating (+11.67% melee hit chance according to tooltip).
21.61% dodge,
21.40% parry,
37.52% block (bringing my total 'avoid' to 85.52% - 1.88% to go).

Should I reforge some of my hit rating to mastery? Until I hit 87.4% avoid or 8% melee hit?

This should go in the gear advice thread stickied at the top of the forum.

Didn't you need to reforge all your gear to get your block percentage that high already? If not, what have you already sacrificed to get your block percentage that high?

There are things more important than hit chance. Yes hit over the melee cap isn't valuable, but neither is hit under the cap if you're dead. You didn't trade away stamina to push your block and avoidance that high, did you?

Ah, oops. Should have put this there.

It's true, I've already reforged most of my gear. But there are a few items yet to be reforged, and so I could probably trade 20 or 30 hit for block.

You have several non-optimal gems: anything providing agility, and several non-optimal enchants: cloak, weapon, shield, gloves, boots. See the 4.0.1 enhancement guide.

Once those are done, if you're still not block capped, then yes focus on wasted hit rating as the first thing to reforge, before cutting into your avoidance stats.
