Having a bit of a dilemma

Postby Gamingdevil » Sun Mar 14, 2010 2:41 pm

Basically, right now I'm getting my 2-set T10 from the helm and the shoulders, while wearing Gauntlets of the Kraken and Legguards of Lost Hope. I'm at 6.04% hit.

Now I'm thinking I could swap the Gauntlets out for T10, the head for Broken Ram Skull Helm and the legs for Pillars of Might. That would gain me ~1200 armour and would put me near the hit cap while costing me ~250hp and ~1% avoidance.

I would have to get the pillars crafted and get another token for the gloves, but both shouldn't be too hard.

Any opinions?
If it is weak, kill it before it gets stronger. If it is strong, weaken it.

For melée heavy fights I'd go with the armor setup and for magic fights go back for the hp set.

It's hardly "an hp set", only 250 extra hp.

Ya but you're swapping trinkets with it too making it much more of a change. At least that's what I do /shrug

I'm actually talking about a general purpose gear set, not swapping out on a per-fight basis. (which I also do from time to time)

Then I'd go with the armor

Is there any reason not to just switch the Marrowgar legs for the crafted ones and leave it at that? I presume threat is no real issue, and you can just carry a stack of taunt glyphs for cases where that's needed. Hit isn't really something to be concerned with.

That's what I'd do anyway.

I'm already not too high on hit and dropping the legs would dip me below 4%. Hit is an excellent threat stat and increases the uptime of Vindication, which in turn, increases survivability.
