Updated for the last time in 3.2.

Next patch I think it is likely that I will drop all items below iLevel 200 or just create a new list with only epic items in it to accommodate Icecrown drops.

Perhaps you could spin the <i200 items into a 'gearing up' sublist? The information is still valuable to those who are gearing up and do not have access to the badges yet as tanking items are few and far between while slogging through Northrend.

Oh yes, by no means will I completely eliminate them, probably either move them off or create a new list for Icecrown. I may even drop T7 content gear that isn't really noteworthy because in 3.3 everyone will be getting things with Triumph badges anyway, which means almost everyone will have T9 level gear. I'll probably leave the T8-level stuff in for comparison but honestly the continuous raising of the gear base this expansion means that I can probably safely eliminate lower tiers of content from the guide.

I'm also going to be working on a guide as a replacement for Jayson's best-in-slot-by-role guide that he has become unable to update, and I'll post that here as soon as it is ready.

Let me echo Percival and many others by saying thanks to Petrus and Bara for all of the hard work put into this list. It is a god-send and greatly appreciated.

Yeah, we ran into a few problems with updating it last time around. The one linked in my signature should be up to date and the one linked from the top bar should only be one revision out of date, so still mostly useful.

1. [Libram of the Sacred Shield] - Ulduar25, General Vezax

It can also be purchased for 19 from Alliance Arcanist Firael <Emblem of Conquest Quartermaster> / Horde Magister Sarien <Emblem of Conquest Quartermaster> since 3.2.0.

Ah yeah, I fixed that in one version and it didn't get copied over in an update... thankfully most people are getting the triumph ones first but thank you for pointing it out. I'll have the initial 3.3 stuff coming soon.

I apologize up front if I have missed another thread on this topic, but can someone point me in the direction of an equivalent gear list for Holy Paladins? I have found BiS (listing 1-2 ilvl 258 pieces for example or are from 3.1) and talent builds and glyphing guides etc but nothing that lays out the current healing paladin gear like Petrus has for paladin tanks.

It is my off-spec but am seeing seeing a lot of raiding time as a healer so spell plate is almost a default to me and would like to be be able to know when it is an upgrade, sidegrade or should be passed on for DE.

I recently picked up the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47711, but I am having a hard time seeing how it outranks the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45551 that I already have. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help you can give.

It's not better according to current gearing philosophies. It's ilvl is higher thus granting it a higher spot on the list. since stamina stacking is win, your old belt is clearly better with the 2 gemslots.

Np. I find the Sacred Shield libram, now that they've doubled its values, is highly effective for threat/block/trash.
