That's pretty nice, I might even wear it over Continuum.

Going from C-Blade to Glad Gavel:

-6 stam
-8 spell hit rating

+5 int
+16 resil
+66 spellpower
+0.2 speed

Its a good upgrade but not quite that "heir" to the C-Blade people have been looking for. Good to know its out there though, thanks for the screen.

Could you imagine Judging Light and then Seal Crusader with that thing? It would give your healers a nice cushion. Or Judging Wisdom, Seal Crusader if you are low on Mana.

Mathematically speaking, it is ALWAYS better to Judge light, then Seal of Light or Judge Wisdom then Seal of Wisdom for hp / mana regen.

Thank you for posting that. I had always wondered.

But what I was thinking about was Seal Crusader for the haste buff. Throw in a reckoning proc and switch between Judging Wisdom and Light, depending on if you needed mana or not.

Yeah, I was trying to say that the extra haste rating does not add enough extra hits to make up for the bonus you get from simply having the particular seal active.

It got upgraded now, resulting in:

-2 stam
-8 spell hit rating

+7 int
+18 resil
+78 spellpower
+0.2 speed
+0.3 DPS

It's the only viable upgrade next to Fang of the Leviathan.

Actually I would just hate to have any kind of resilience equipped... y not something more useful like +hit or dodge :-/

Of course, the Resilience is void (except that you can substitude a little more dodge for defense and you'll be fine slightly below 490 defense, but besides that, no.

However, ignoring the Resilience and the DPS, that's still a whopping 78 Spelldamage and 7 int (115,5 Mana, 0.09% Spell Crit) for only 2 sta (23,32 health) and 8 Spell Hit Rating (0.63%). (Values averaged while affected by Kings and Sacred Duty.)

I am fairly certain I've read good testing data that shows defense doesn't decrease your chance to be crit by spells, but resilience does. Many fights we tank (the majority?) have bosses with spell damage abilities they use fairly often, so the resilience is not entirely useless. Right?

Edit: I'd also like to point out that we have to keep upping our spell damage numbers to keep pace with the increasing gear our DPSing colleagues get as raids/guilds progress. This weapon is quite hawt for that reason. Losing a couple points of stam to increase threat seems more than worth it to me. Personally, I'll swap to the Gavel of Unearthed Secrets, which I've had for a couple of months, as soon as 2.1 goes live and never look back (and if I can get enough arena points . . . which means I need to get into a team . . . upgrade from there to this arena weapon).
If necessity is the mother of invention, laziness must be the father.

The thing is, Mav, NPC spells cannot crit. So the resilience is useless for tanking, but I'd still grab that weapon in a heartbeat if I liked PvP at all (which I don't particularly :-/)

It's anecdotal but my rogue arena partner reports that his arena weapons break a lot faster than his old daggers.

Anyone found this to be the case?

Pardon my ignorance, but Resilience doesn't work in PvE?

AFAIK Resilience works in PVE, it's just unnecessary - 490 def makes you uncrittable via physical attacks, and mob spells can't crit.
