Because they are BoE.

Bracers of the green fortress are BoE and made by Black smiths. They were heavily recomend to new 70s. They are on the list becasue they are easily acquirable.

I just thought it was kind of misleading because it sounds like you could only find it on the AH instead of getting it crafted by collecting the materials. I don't feel like argueing semantics though so you win.

Why did you include the saronite shields as BoE shields when they are also craftable by blacksmiths, same with the titansteel shield?

What exactly is misleading about it? They are crafted and they are also BoE. Which means they can be found on the AH. But thanks for bringing it up, I'll add the Saronite shield to the crafted list.

I think misleading was the wrong word of choice now that I look back on it, it is more just kind of confusing...sort of. It's not really a big deal I am just kind of OCD about that kind of thing and it bothered me enough to post about it hah.

my name is Dae and i approve of this thread. had half of this put together for random quests in gear 'milestones' for myself based on my current gear. this makes it oodles easier ^^

Doing a quick comparison from memory...am I right to say this list mostly means I can ignore drops until heroics/titansteel if I'm already Sunwell/BT geared?

T6 beats saronite by a slight margin if I remember correctly. Seems that all the 77+ quest items and instance loot easily beats T6. I guess you decide when the situation arises.

I am excited by the storm peaks items (120dps weapon? Def trinket? yes please) and titansteel stuff, but the other quest items listed, with a few close calls, do not seem very exceptional vs. T6, especially the armor pieces.

saronite just has uber defense rating to be uncrit. i'd be keeping a few of my TBC pieces if i didn't need a metric ass ton of +def.

Pieces with a lot of sockets can be resocketed with wotlk defense gems for an acceptable amount of defense.
