I'm lost and would like some advice

My friend tried it during our Elegon kill today. At some point the Souldrinker proc healed for 100k+, but it didn't seem to really make a big difference in HPS. It accounted for 32% of his total healing done. About 52% of its healing was overhealing. He's a Warrior, by the way. If there's problems with (tank) healing the last phase, I guess a tank could swap it in for that phase and have boosted self-healing.
We were 5 seconds shy of enrage timer, and the tanks were never really in danger of dying, so next time he will just equip a better weapon.
