Mage lock 2v2 team

I was looking for some advice whe nit comes to my new 2v2 partner. I know there are lots of better combos with a lock but I am wondering what spec should I go with when I am partnering with a mage for my 2v2 team. Affliction is good but I am not sure of the validity with this set up. I am running Destro pvp currently but I think that is more suited for BG's and not for the 2v2 setup. Let me know what you guys think as far as strats as well. Thanks guys.
