[Ret-PvE] t8 4 set bonus?

Hi,

I'm currently progressing through most of the content, bar heroic TotGC, and I'm starting to see alot of nice plate loot dropping, like chest from faction champions and legs from valkyrs etc.
The thing is, the 4 set bonus on t8 seems like a huge dps increase, as 10% crit on CS + DS is alot for 2 of our most used attacks.
So I'm curious, is it worth replacing my t8 for the non-set pieces, and if yes, which?
Tried looking around on various sites but I can't really find any info on it!

I currently use t8 helm, chest, gloves and legs and the triumph shoulders.

As I understand it the two piece T9 set bonus is a bigger dps increase then the 4 piece T8 one, not even looking at the stat increase and resulting dps from that. Think the most effective way is to not break up T8 untill you have two piece T9, then you can replace the other pieces as you want.

But that's just my thoughts, nothing solid, just speculating

Even before then, though, the stat increases are big enough that by the time you have 3 well itemised 245 pieces to swap in, its probably a dps increase to break t8 4pc regardless of whether you get 2pc t9 or not.

T9 is 232 not 245, but still T9 2pc +T8 2pc > T8 4pc i believe

There are 3 different "versions" of t9 for everyone. iLvl232, iLvl245, and iLvl258, depending on what version of the content you have access to. You can look at them on the quartermasters right outside the raid portal, and the set bonuses are shared among all 3 iLvls of the set.
