[Ret] First EoT purchase?

Is everyone going straight for the new Libram, or are some doing other things? Usually I'm a proponent of saving up for the big items first, but due to the staggered nature of the ToC's boss release, and the potential deliciousness of the Libram, I'm thinking about getting it ASAP (no, I haven't managed to do many daily heroics lately).

I'm looking at the Libram and the ring for sure, and of course I'd like to get some tier. That said, my guild isn't running ToC-25 yet, and if I'm going to spend EoTs on tier I'd really like to get the 245 stuff. 232 just doesn't excite me.

Libram. 200 strength with a 95% up-time on most bosses. You can't *not* take it.

I second the libram. If you don't pvp, your libram is likely MUCH worse. As a bonus, I believe the ret libram is also a tps upgrade for prot ... though I still heart the BV libram, and haven't been willing to drop it yet.

Main is Protection for our Progression but I took the Ret Libram first and will test it out. I was able to tank the last Boss in the new 25 Dungeon just fine with my LoO as long as I cleanse the debuff he gives me.

I can't wait to try the new Ret Libram out.

The libram is really nice, about a 500dps boost immediately for me on patchwerk 10, its like a mini Greatness.

My main spec is protection, and I still took the ret libram first. Mostly because so far ToC bosses have not been a tanking challenge at all, and haven't made me feel the need to upgrade my gear. More dps, on the other hand, always helps.

Of course heroic will probably change that, but it's still a couple weeks away.

For me, I'm 2 days (or thursday night's raid) from the new libram. From there, it will be

t9 gloves
t9 head

unless I get a hot new head in the meantime, then it will be

t9 gloves
t9 shoudlers.

I doubt that I will ever get the t9 chest as I just hate armor pen that much and work to replace gear that has it first.

Get the Battlelord Plate Boots from Ulduar crafters and then stop wishing for boots.

or if you don't have a problem with wearing lesser armor, farm the ToC Heroic and get the expertise boots out of there. They are hands down better than the plate crafted.

Fine fine fine, don't get the plate crafted boots. Point is that there are options out there for boots, so people shouldn't bemoan the fact that they can't buy them with badges.

Oh yeah i forgot about the crafted boots.... thanks! Work is taking its toll on me... oh well 3 weeks left to college life again.
