That doesn't sound quite right to me. The 4p-T7 was worth roughly 3% more damage overall. That would require Exorcism and HoW make up 30% of ret's dps.

Yeah, the numbers I've seen put the 2pT8 at about .9% DPS, whereas 4pT7 is about 3ish.

Reduce the 4pc bonus to 5% and make it the 2pc bonus. I hate 4 pc bonus's so much gear you have to pass on to get bonuses, virtually no flexibility. At least keeping a 2 pc bonus is much easier to do.

When comparing only the set bonuses, yes. But when you add in the extra stats, 2pc T8 > 4pc T7.

That's what I was saying. Not so much that 2pc T8 is a better bonus, but that wearing 2pc T8 is better than wearing 4pc T7.

So are you saying wearing the T8 2 piece set is better dps than wearing a T7.5 4 piece set? If we're going to compare the two we should be doing it on roughly the same Ilvl rather than 13+ apart.

Though it is possible at higher gear levels for 2pc t7 to become better if Divine Storm scales faster than exorcism.

Er, no, that would be the opposite of what I'm saying. The DPS gain from the higher ilevels is entirely why you should wear 2-pc T8 over 4-pc T7. My point is that, regardless of what math you throw at the set bonuses, wearing two pieces of T8.25 is better than wearing 4 pieces of T7.25. No one should be holding back on T8 2-piece just because they don't want to lose T7 4-pc.

I'm not sure how T7.25 compares to T8.10, but I imagine you'll still want the T7 in that case.

At that point you're comparing 2pc T7 to 4pc T8, and 2pc T7 will only scale better if you have 100% crit.

Er, I think you misunderstand me. Youre saying the stats on 2pc T8 + T8 2pc Bonus > T7 stats + T7 bonus, and T7 bonus > T8 bonus. Thus, I was merely pointing out that T8 stats and T7 stats are constant +dps, and the 2pc bonuses are variable +dps. Thus over a certain amount of gear (which I'm fairly certain is unobtainable) T7 2pc will be worth the loss of stats.

Ah, yeah that's probably true in theory, but also impossible in practice :P
